What’s more awesome than a Sunday brunch with your family? An awesome Lego themed Sunday brunch that is! Di ba? Who doesn’t know and love Lego?! I grew up playing Lego and my kids go gaga every time we’re at a toy store with a Lego play area. It’s good to know that even the Millennials are still familiar with Lego and have come to appreciate it as much as we do. The global brand Lego, has truly become an iconic part of our pop culture. So much so that when they released the Lego Movie last year, it garnered good reviews from both kids and kids at heart. Soon after my kids & I watched it, we couldn’t stop humming to the tune of Evertyhing is AWESOME! Truly AWESOME if I may say so. Heehee. Since then, the lil’ GJGs have been familiar with Lego. So when I told them they’ll be seeing some cool Lego food, they were as excited as I was! If you follow me on Instagram I bet you’ve seen my posts about our Lego-themed brunch at Spectrum, Raffles Hotel.
Here’s a load of photos on what went down during our Sunday brunch at Spectrum Restaurant. Brace yourselves, tons of food photos ahead. 😉
It was the perfect brunch for lil’ Ms. GJG since it was her birthday weekend. 🙂
The window display featured Lego creations. I love the Lego wedding cake & oven!
Upon entering Spectrum, a scale of Raffles/Fairmont Hotel greets you plus Emmet, the Master Builder. Of course, they’re all made of Lego!
“Mom, take my picture with the Lego!”
The calm before the storm. We arrived a tad bit early so we were able to take photos before the rest of the diners came.
Even the table centrepiece has a Lego!
Sushi station
Seafood station. Pick whatever you want and have them cooked to your liking.
Japanese station.
Salad station.
Dwelled in this area because I was eager to try each dish.
Cold cuts station. Aaaah cheese, cured meat and so much more!
Pasta & Noodle station.
Carving station. That Prime Ribeye is sooooooo goooooood!
The kids’ selection has spaghetti/mac & cheese, chicken tenders and sandwiches.
Bread & Soup station.
Paella!
Lechon!
There’s also a honey station. Yes!
The spirit display is so inviting. I suddenly want a mimosa or margarita, while lounging in the pool area while soaking up the sun. Heehee.
Sunday Brunch comes with a complimentary bubbly. Here I was holding my what seemed like a coffee shot. I forget what it was exactly but it more or less tasted like Baileys.
The food at Spectrum was delicious but like all buffet restaurants, the thing I look forward to the most is dessert. You see, I have high expectations when it comes to dessert because it’s something that I think sets a restaurant apart from all the others. Desserts, like the main course should be exceptional. And I’m happy to report that Spectrum’s did not disappoint. Aside from the AWESOME Lego design, these desserts taste as good as they look.
Lego overrload!
Creamy and moist red velvet cake shaped like a Lego brick.
Chocolate Lego men lined up, waiting to be devoured! They’re too kyooot to eat so I took a few photos of them first before they went straight to my tummy. Haymososoreeeeeh Lego men!
Emmet & Wild Style Short Bread Cookies.
Lego Head Short Bread Cookies.
Aaaah if only I can take this moss green Lego cake I would’ve!
My kids went crazy over these Lego marshmallow covered with chocolate.
Obviously, lil’ Mr. GJG was delighted.
As soon as the kids were done eating, they immediately went up to the second floor to the Lego Room. What else do you expect in a Lego room but Lego galore of course!
All the kids went crazy in the Lego room, building and sorting out the blocks.
How kyoooot is lil’ Mr. GJG & Baby Rain?
Children 4 to 14 years old can join the Lego My Own Creation contest where they can get a chance to win P10,000 worth of Lego sets! How awesome is this?
And since lil’ Mr. GJG is too young to join, he was happy na to just play for a few minutes and pose in front of the camera. Heehee.
My lil’ Ms. GJG got a prize for her creation. It was so sweet of her to give the prize to her baby brother. Awwwww 🙂
Dessert plate #3 and coffee for me.
As much as I wanted to stay the whole afternoon at Spectrum and eat my way to the next day, I just couldn’t. I was so full from tasting almost everything, especially the dessert. My lil’ GJGs had so much fun, so much so that lil’ Ms. GJG blurted out “I love eating in this restaurant and I love all the Lego I see!”. I guess it’s a clear sign that we shall come back for another AWESOME Sunday brunch.
