Matte lippies are my weakness. It’s not just me, it’s currently everybody’s favorite kind of lipstick. So it’s such a delight when brands come up with their own matte lippies. Just recently, I discovered Sleek– a makeup brand famous for their matte lippies–Matte Me.
Sleek Matte Me lippies is Shabby Chic, Vino Tinto and Fired Up at Php 450/tube.
These are three of Sleek’s latest Matte Me lippies which I got to try. Promising shades based on how they look on the tube. Here’s how they look on me:
SHABBY CHIC
Sleek Matte Me Shabby Chic is a muted dark pink which for me is best for everyday use. I love how it gives me just the right amount of color. I’ve been ask one too many times what brand & shade of lipstick this is every time I’m wearing it.
For that natural look, Shabby Chic is the Matte Me to use. It’s not pale to make you look like you’re sick, nor is it bright enough to give you a popping lip color. Bet!
Sleek Matte Me in Shabby Chic is perfect for daily use– whether you’re in the office or out in a meeting, even at home taking care of the kids (yes, sometimesI wear lipstick at home just because I wanna look pretty) heehee.
FIRED UP
Sleek Matte Me in Fired Up is a dark crimson lippie which I think is suitable for all skin tone. I’m not a fan of bright red lipsticks but this one is something I can wear even on daytime. It instantly gives character, that timeless, classic look.
Fired Up gives that sophisticated lip color. I never thought I’d like red as much as I do now. Gotta practice on putting it on more precisely, though! 😀
Sleek Matte Me in Fired Up is one of the few reds to own.
VINO TINTO
Sleek Matte Me in Vino Tinto is an intense deep berry that provides a pigmented dark shade. Not a fan of dark lips? Vino Tinto might change your mind. Now I need to work on the way I apply dark matte lippies so it won’t patch up. Practice makes perfect. 😀
Is it just me or do you also like sporting dark lips on a gloomy day? I don’t know about you but for me, it definitely sets my mood. If it’s not a rainy day, wear this to achieve that vampy vixen look. Either way, it’s enough to make you look like you’re ready to rule the world. Lakas maka-powerful. 😉
I like Sleek Matte Me because…
… it glides on in one smooth application.
… it’s light that I sometimes forget I’m wearing lipstick.
… it doesn’t cake nor flake. A trait most matte lippies don’t have.
… it doesn’t smudge. Need I say more? 😉
… it’s easy to remove, one swipe using wipes and makeup remove is all I need to completely remove it.
Easy to apply, easy to remove and it’s also affordable– Php 450 per tube– what more can I ask for? No wonder Sleek Matte Me has been popular ever since it’s release. Definitely adding it to my growing list of matte lippie faves!
