As promised, I’m sharing you the recipes I created and cooked during the Hunt’s Mom-Child Cook Off during the Yummy Eats 2012.
6 pcs. chicken (your preferred part), a can of pineapple tidbits, 3 cloves of garlic, a few thin slices of ginger, 3 tbsp. cooking oil, 1 pack Hunt’s Pinoy style tomato sauce, a small can of tomato paste, sugar, salt & pepper to taste.
Step 1: Sauté garlic in oil, add pineapple tidbits (set pineapple sauce aside for later use).
Step 2: Add pineapple & ginger. Cook until chicken is brown. You can opt to do it the other way around and sauté the chicken first before adding the pineapple.
Step 3: Add tomato sauce, tomato paste and pineapple juice. Simmer for 10 minutes or until chicken is tender.
Season with sugar, salt & pepper to taste.
