Swimsuit Shopping At Velvet Rose Lingerie

Confession: I’m obsessed in finding the perfect one piece swimsuit.

Even when I was single, I’m one of the many women who feel so awkward wearing a bikini. Sabi sa inyo #medyoawkward talaga ako. Even back when I had an almost visible abs and smooth tummy, (read: no stretch marks) I still feel conscious wearing a bikini. Maybe because I’m really a monokini, one-piece swimsuit kinda girl? Up until I have abs, as in no more jelly belly I swear, I shall conquer my fear of wearing bikinis. For now, I’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect one-piece swimsuit to add to my growing collection.

Another confession: I’m some kinda allergic to prints when it comes to swimsuits.

Is it just me? I find printed swimsuit make me wider. Maybe until I find the perfect one, I’ll veer away from it as really does little to flatter my body figure.

A trip to the mall, I stopped by Velvet Rose as I saw their latest Summer and Resort Collection.

This tankini in black is something I’d definitely wear. The halter bra makes it more feminine despite the dark color. You can even pair this tankini with jeans.

Another black one piece that I like. This kind of cut is suitable for someone who has big bosoms. The V-neck and the color make the upper portion of your body slimmer and more tapered.

Now for some colors. This two-toned printed one-piece is also a stunner.

The halter version is flattering for those who have average chest size.  It can also instantly give a “pushed up” effect as you can adjust the straps depending on how you wear it .

Bandeau style is suitable for the flat-chested or those who have smaller bosoms.

So eto na, after fitting all the one-piece swimsuits, it boiled down to two.

The bandeau floral

First tried it without tying the strap on my neck, so it looks like a tube swimsuit. I wasn’t able to take a photo of the back part, its nice pa naman as it has cut outs separating the bandeau top from the bottom.

Then I wore it with the strap na. Keri pa din. I love how refreshing the tropical print is, something easy and pleasing to the eyes.

I found the perfect printed one-piece for me. Weeee! So happy and excited, I immediately wore it during our staycation at Sofitel over the Easter weekend.

I love how fluid the swimsuit looks on me. It’s tapered to disperse (disperse talaga?) okay fine, hide one’s jelly belly.
