I caught some fairy dust and I liked it. Thank you Glamourbox for believing in fairies and brought in Pixi, a make up brand that originated in London. I witnessed the launching of Pixi last January 29, 2014 at Simply Thai in Greenbelt 5. It was an afternoon of beauty as Au Mauricio, chief make up artist & ambassador of Pixi PH demonstrated an au naturale look using the brand’s key products.
The brand’s slogan “Make Up To Wake Up” has a large following not only in London but in different parts of the world such as in the US, UK and Middle East. Thanks to its pure, awakening, skin-loving products that create a naturally radiant “just had a good night’s sleep” look. The uniquely formulated Pixi collection was created from Petra’s 20 years of experience as a makeup artist, as a solution for women looking for a fresh approach to makeup.
It is founder Petra Strand is a professional make up artist for more than two decades and believes that Pixi is a style of beauty. Passionate about quality, the right raw materiel and innovation, Petra’s mission “is to bring out the beauty in all women” – to make women look like themselves, only better.
Her inspiration comes from busy women like herself – working women and mothers trying to look awake, fresh and pulled together in 5 minutes. She’s obsessed about beautifying the world with simple effective solutions for the busy woman over 30. Well, I’m not 30 yet but I gotta say, I’m loving how enchanting Pixi products are, so I was excited to check Au Mauricio’s #makeuptowakeup 5 minute make up look.
Here she is, sprinkling some Pixi dust on her model as she showed us a quick make up tutorial to achieve that make up to wake up look.
Fresh, dewy no-nonsense make up that’s easy to do and simple looking. Perfect for those who want to look presentable without presenting too much, too heavy make up.

I’m intrigued with Pixi’s smokey plum eyeliner even though I’m not really experimental when it comes to liners, but this particularly color looks promising.
I suddenly want the Early Bird Kit and Fake Awake Kit as they both seem so promising!
For that fresh, flawless, fuss-free face, these are must haves. I hope I can try the Illuminating Tint & Wakeup Concealer next time.Apart from make up, Pixi also has nail colours in, of course Pixi pretty shades.
Some Pixi features as seen in these spreads.

Now here are some of the Pixi products I got from the launch.
Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen Blac Noir 740 php, Pixi Natural Brow Duo 890 php, Pixi Flawless & Poreless 1215 php, Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm 790 php, Pixi Eye Bright Liner 840 php.
I love how pretty the packaging is. Kinda feels like it was taken from Neverland. 😉
I’ve already tried the Natural Brow Duo and I’m loving it! My brows are defined but look so natural. Hopefully I can do a more comprehensive review about it, but I gotta practice how to take more decent and review-worthy selfie photos first. I can’t wait to try the eye brightener next!
Thank you again Glamourbox team and Lia for having me, congratulations on the successful launch!
