The thing about being a sun dweller is that my skin suffers from all the sun exposure. As I’ve said over and over again here on my blog, I haven’t given much thought about taking skin care seriously until recently when I realized, I’m not getting any younger and so is my skin.
So when I got the chance to try Belo Intensive Whitening Bar Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid, I gladly documented it so I can share with you all my firsthand experience as I peregrinate the vast world of skin care, one product at a time.
I wanted to test the effectivity of kojic acid combined with tranexamic acid. The former is an organic compound which is proven to prevent melanin production. The combination of Kojic Acid and Tranexamic Acid is clinically proven to whiten 64% better than products that use Kojic Acid alone. So I went about using Belo Intensive Whitening Bar twice a day for seven days.
Here is my before photo taken a week after we went swimming on a hot sunny day. Can you spot my bikini line? As well as my reddish tan skin, tiny (pimple?) bumps and blemishes on my face?
I went for a week without using any other soap nor body wash for my skin particularly on my face, as Belo Intensive Whitening recommends it must be used twice a day to achieve best results. The orange bar glides smoothly on my skin, a few strokes give a pretty good lather as the soap quickly dissolves, which makes one bar good enough for a week’s worth of use. There were a few incidents of stinging sensations, particularly on my face, but they’re very minimal. Stinging and itchiness are due to the actives work in exfoliating the skin. The actives being salicylic acid, lactic acid, tranexamic acid and kojic acid gave that cleansing effect but don’t leave a dry squeaky feeling.
Here’s my after photo taken on the seventh day of using Belo Intensive Whitening Bar. Do you notice the difference? My bikini line has faded as well as the redness from the tan I got from swimming. As for my face, those tiny spots have flattened out and the blemishes were barely there. Those stinging sensations just confirmed how effective Belo Intensive Whitening Bar with Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid is. I gotta say I am impressed with its intensity claim as I have proven it myself. Hi Daphne! I just use my usual lotions: Physiogel, Burts Bees, Dove, among others. Best to avoid sun exposure. During the time I used it, I had minimal sun exposure so it was really obvious how my tan lines lightened. Hope this helps! 🙂
What if I used it without applying lotion on my skin? Wont it be effective? because I have dry skin. 🙁 I worry that it might make my skin darker if i wont put lotion on it. Im using the soap for four days already, but I cant still see the effectiveness. It that maybe because i sometimes get exposed to the sun? Thank you!
Hi Kel! Best to apply lotion after ‘coz it might make your skin dry talaga. And yes, if you’re using any whitening product it always recommended that you veer away from any sun exposure as it can greatly affect the effectiveness of the product. I hope this helps 🙂

Hi! I’d just bought two Belo Intensive Whitening Bar yesterday. My gal pals use it and it really whitened them! They suggest me to try it since I really want to have a white skin complexion. I’d tried many whitening soaps before but they didn’t worked. Some made me itchy, but didn’t whiten me, irritates my skin and leave my skin dry. While on my face, they produces pimples. I don’t know what’s the problem on my skin. Maybe it’s sensitive. Do you think? I hope Belo Intensive Whitening will end up my skin problems. I’m even searching for reviews about this Belo product. Mostly, I read that it is really effective! But one thing is that some says it too small and melts easily that it won’t last for 2weeks. I’m planning that every time I will use it, I will soak it on my skin for about 2-3 minutes to ensure good results. Do you think it is better if I use it with my lotion which is EB Naturals Whitening Lotion for Dry Skin? What should I use to prevent pimple-growth if ever my face is not compatible with soap?
Hi Princess Camille! Best to use lotion after bathing with Belo Intensive Whitening bar as it can dry your skin. Bear in mind that you cannot expose yourself to the sun’s harmful rays should you plan on using any whitening products as it may prohibit the effect. I’ve been reading good reviews about this product so I bought one for myself. It’s been a week since I started using it *twoce a day* and I can see NO results, the only thing I got from it is pimples! I dont understand why, Im using moisturizer after washing tho.
Hi Audrey! Oh no, perhaps it’s not compatible with your skin. Best to consult a derma regarding your breakout and don’t use it na if you’re not hiyang with it. Results may really vary talaga and like any other product, it would really depend on how your skin would react to it. Let your skin heal first and let it rest by not introducing new products.

Yes, thats what I did after. The skin needs to be moisturised kasi Belo gave a tightening effect on my skin.
As for the type of moisturizer, it would depend on what you normally use. If you’re hiyang with Nivea moisturizer for your face then go for it. But I suggest you apply after a few minutes of washing your face with Belo. Try applying the moisturizer first on a portion of your face (forehead or a cheek) test first if it doesn’t have any reaction to Belo. If no reaction for 10 minutes, you may apply moisturizer all over your face. But again, just to be sure best to consult your derma 🙂

Hi Wilson! If it’s painful na, DO NOT USE IT na. Better to consult your dermatologist if there’s pain na. Like I said in my post, it may work for me but it is not guaranteed that it will work for you. Again, it depends on how your skin will react to it.

Ok Lng pu kaya un eeffective prin pu ba ung belo soap. Sana pu masagot nio pu ung tanung q.maraming salamat pu.

Hi Kevin! Really? I didn’t notice that on me. Be sure not to expose your skin under the sun and use sunblock and lotion so your skin will get enough moisture. If you’re uncertain about it best to consult your dermatologist. 🙂
