I am a dessert kind of girl but I admit, there’s only one kind of dessert that I have mastered over the years and that is the Mango Float. For someone who has a sweet tooth, I know very little on how to prepare my favorite meal. I guess this is one of the things that’s still part of my goals. Someday, I’ll make an effort to learn how to make desserts and master more than just one recipe. But for now, I’m okay indulging and satisfying my craving to eat sweets on a daily basis. This season is yet another reason to enjoy, delight and give in to our sweet cravings. In line with this, Alaska gathered a handful of up and coming food merchants proudly showcased their different dishes during the Merry Cremas Festival that happened last December 14, 2014 at Eastwood Mall Open Park.
Lil’ Ms. GJG tagged along with me and as soon as we arrived, she immediately spotted a pony and wanted to ride it.
Over a dozen food merchants participated but only a few left a lasting impression on me.
Lechon cake from Nothing But C.
Nothing But C Apple Caramel Bar.
Choco ATBP Rum Cake
Double Delights Carrot Cake.
Pop Cake Carmelitas
Batter Up! by Flo Chocolate Chip Brownie
All these yummy treats were made with Alaska Crema All Purpose Cream. But I gotta say, out of all the savoury & sweet treats I’ve tried during the Merry Cremas Festival, three stood out the most.
Gordita’s Gourmet Products Pates
Gordita’s Gourmet patés were spot on delicious! They’re flavourful yet give just the right amount of creaminess. I particularly liked the Paté de Pesto Con Crema De Quezo. SO. GOOD.
Sugar Babies Rogue Ball.
I forgot exactly the name of this dessert because it was too good, I even forgot my name for a second after the first bite. The delicate crunchy red velvet chocolate shell plus the creamy white cream cheese filling was something that’s worth remembering & having again.
I got attracted with these super kyoooot chocolate display of Groot & baby Groot.
Blue Toque Strawberry Panna Cotta with White Chocolate Mousse.
This was for me, the best dessert during the Merry Cremas Festival. It has the right balance of flavor layer after layer. This yummy treat is not just perfect for the holidays but for all year round. Congratulations Blue Toque for being one of the winners for this year’s winners. It was a well deserved win as my fellow bloggers & I agree that your dish was one of the most memorable and delicious treats that embodies creamy and delightful dish.

Thank you so much Alaska for having us. I’m now more inspired to whip up easy sweet and savoury dishes using Alaska Crema.
