Menina Step is a Spanish brand of handcrafted leather shoes. Each pair is delicately fabricated by a leather artisan who has been trained in the art of shoemaking. The brand is known for its classic ballerinas made up of 100% leather but also carries slip-ons, sandals and espadrilles of topnotch quality.
Menina Step is now here in Manila and last month, they launched their debut collection through a pop-up store at Powerplant Mall in Makati City. I dropped by because I couldn’t resist pretty shoes. Especially if they’re reasonably priced and of good craftsmanship.
Two stations are on each corner of the pop-up store at the south court of Powerplant mall where guests can get leather stamping by Wooden Mallet and water-color portrait by Kar Victoriano.
Menina Step slip ons.
These are some of the sample pieces of Menina Step. These aren’t on sale here in Manila yet but I’m crossing my fingers they’ll be part of the future collection. I’m eyeing on that navy blue one.
Watercolor illustration by @karvictoriano so kyoooooot no?
Thanks Kar for my illustration. I was kidding Shari, that I should’ve worn a gown so my illustration would be more bongga! Heehee.
How royal and regal are these suede Menina Step slip ons?! WANT.
These sample pieces are from Menina Step girls. Aaaah, I would love one for lil’ Ms. GJG. I particularly want the third shoe from the lower left, that mustard and black was flirting with me.
Menina Step for your lil’ lady.

Love my jade Menina Step pair. I don’t own any green pair of shoes so this is a special first.
Thanks again Shari & Alexys for having me at the launch.
