We’ve come a long way when it comes to beauty products and this has been proven by entrepreneurs who took a leap of faith all because they’re very passionate about their brand and how much they believe in their products. Such is the case for Indian-Filipino family, headed by Laveen Mirpiri, who after four years working and observing female consumerism and beauty habits in Brazil went back home and started his business here in the Philippines. Along with his brother, Rohit Mirpuri – a business graduate who co-founded the startup straight out of college – ventured into the beauty biz after a successful venture creating body mists. Their product? Let’s just say it’s a complete line of make up made for Filipina women in mind.
Ladies, I’d like you to meet a local brand (that’s bound to be a fave) and the baby of the Mirpuri brothers – Pink Sugar Cosmetics.
Pink Sugar Cosmetics is a local label with a product line that ranges from skin to color cosmetics, quality formulations suited for Filipina skin, and cool packaging that’s fodder for any make-up junkie.
The launch was basically a swatch fest where guests were eager to try on the products and see how they will fair once applied on skin.
Dual Finish Face Powder, P499.
Pink Sugar has powder foundation shades that suit most Filipina skin. Foundation and powder are really the hardest to find the right shade of and lucky for us, we now have more options. Yas! My shade is natural beige, medium beige if I were a tad bit tan. 😉
Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Tint, P349.
I admit, one of my least used make up is blush. I have less than a handful and I always resort to my favorite, which gives me that natural flushed look. But I think I’ll start my love affair with it soon, all because Pink Sugar’s got me excited to use blush. Look at how promising the shades are. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to swatch these babies but hopefully, I can show you how these look like when worn. FOTD soon so follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat at @gojackiego.
Eye Candy Eye Shadow Palette, P699.
Now eye shadow palette is something worth having in your beauty kit. I say start first with the basic browns just like this Eye Candy palette. Again, no swatch (I shall FOTD soon) because I was too excited to get my hands on the next product.
Pinks, berries, reds. These are what make up Pink Sugar HD lipsticks.Creamy Matte Lipstick, P349.
Aaaah my favorite from the bunch. Look at how lovely the colors of Pink Sugar Creamy Matte Lipsticks. The matte lipsticks stay long although they may make your lips dry as most matte lipsticks do.
Swatch from bottom: Sangria, Desire, Selfie, Catfight, Rumor, and First Kiss.
Sugar Tin lip & cheek tint, P349.
Sugar Tint is Pink Sugar’s lip & cheek tint. It has 5 bright shades that’s bound to give a pop of color to your face.
Red Rouge, Coral Bliss, Pink Paradise, Purple Pleasure and Pink Passion. Thanks Donna of My Lucid Intervals for letting me take a photo of your swatch! 😉
Our Lil’ Secret Concealer, P299.
It’s Awesome BB Cream, P499.
Dual Finish Face Powder, P499.
Honey I’m Good Eyeliner Duo, P349.
Janeena Chan hosted the launch.
Amazing how these two brothers, Laveen and Rohit Mirpuri built this start up and has now become a brand that makes women look beautiful and feel comfortable. Each Pink Sugar product is cruelty-free and Paraben-free, only containing ingredients that not only beautify, but care for the skin and the environment in the process. Make-up, after all, doesn’t need to be harmful in the prettifying process.
From lipstick to liner and everything in between, each Pink Sugar product lasts long and is extremely pigmented, with a color payoff that makes each swipe worth it. For the quality it gives with affordable price, Pink Sugar definitely gives more bang for your buck. 😉
PINK SUGAR is available at www.beautymnl.com, SM Aura, SM Makati, SM Marilao, SM Manila, SM Fairview, SM Moa, SM Clark, SM Lanang Premier Davao and Watsons at Ayala Center Cebu.
