Remember the passion project of three mommas – Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio, Cheska Garcia-Kramer, and Marilen Faustino-Montenegro called 100% Whole Mom? It was launched July this year to cater to all moms to give attention, apart from their family and children, to beauty, heart and home. This holiday, they rounded up a handful of mommas who share the same passion with them, for an afternoon of feast.
100% Whole Mom isn’t about being the perfect mom (because we all know we can’t be one!), it’s about being whole and finding out what makes you one without sacrificing the important people in your life, which is your family. Whole Mom’s unofficial tagline “wholeness not perfect” reflects very much to what Rica, Cheska and Marilen exude and I believe every momma should always keep this in mind.
Di ba kasi oftentimes we really find ourselves struggling to do everything we think we need in order for us to be the perfect mom, wife, homemaker, and *insert all other roles HERE*? We may be referred to as “superwoman” but that doesn’t mean we have to strive for perfection. Wholeness for me is waaaaay better than trying to be perfect. In this fast-paced, Internet driven, imperfect world, why do want to be perfect anyway?
The series of workshops by 100% Whole Mom have been a success and in return, the team threw an early Thanksgiving gathering to wrap up the wonderful year. What started as a dream is now a passion project come true and this project has helped moms who’ve attended the workshops, seek for wholeness rather than perfection.
The intimate gathering was held at The Grove by Rockwell. One of the function rooms was converted into a cozy living and dinning space with rustic holiday feels.
Styling by Eve & Co and SaSo Greenhouse Design Studio and Teena Barretto Events.
One of the highlights from the gathering was the stocking stuffer where we had to decorate a stocking according to our liking.
Here’s our group’s rustic stocking. Doesn’t it suit well with the rustic-Scandanavian theme? 🙂
With my BC Magazine team mates, Tanya Faviz (leftmost) was the overall creative director of our stocking. Heehee.
Shortly after raffling off prizes – Essential Family Place 2-night-stay in Cordis Hong Kong, Gift bags from Debenhams, PossibiliTEES multiway dress from Soul Lifestyle and Scripture boards by The Carpenter PH – we feasted on the sumptuous looking spread by Bizu Catering Studio.
Don’t you just love how festive the food looks? Not surprising that they taste as good as they look! My favorite from the bunch were the salads, lechon kawali and raclette. Yuuum! Of course I liked all the desserts, especially the macarons! 😉
4-layer cake by Honey Glaze Cakes was so Instagram worthy!
We all went home with a Whole Box containing make up from Happy Skin, Christmas wrappers by Wrap It Up, laundry bag by Stitch It Up, red velvet cookies by Pickings PH, travel containers by Keeping It Together, Colognes by Sniff and Cuddle, neck pillow by Insta Mug, pouches by Humabi Bags, linen spray + body wash + hand sanitizer by Smell Chic, facial care by Dewy Tree, perfume by Whiff Of Perfume voucher by Debenhams, honey by Manuka Health and wooden crate by Handicrafts ATBP.
Congratulations again Marilen, Cheska and Rica of 100% Whole Mom! Stay tuned for more workshop about the heart, home and beauty next year.
Wholeness for me is when I feel complete without having all the things I want nor need. Wholeness is when we find peace within ourselves to forgive others. Wholeness is the ability to accept the things that is beyond our control. Wholeness is about finding happiness everyday, despite the challenges of motherhood, homemaking, building a career or managing a business.
