One of the things my kids are interested in are art. Aside from screen time, playing with their toys, creating slime, doodling and drawing are what they usually do at home. Now that it’s summer they’re looking for activities they can do so I had them go to Global Art.
Gabbie & I first tried Global Art back in 2013. You can read about our experience HERE. This time it’s Gabbie & Juro’s turn to do a 10 session workshop for summer. Their chosen program? Multimedia. It’s a mix of creative drawing, acrylic painting and clay.

I think learning the basics of drawing, painting and clay modelling can help my kids not just unleash their creative side but it can also improve their attention span, fine motor skills, give balance in their daily activities and eventually give chanel to their hobby and interest.

So my kids came in yesterday for their first session.
My kids were so intently listening to their teacher. Jurors worksheet required him to trace and color while Gabbie’s is to create a story and draw her own version of the shapes on the side of her worksheet.
Each sessions lasts for an hour and a half and the materials each workshop needs is provided by Global Art. No need to bring anything except maybe water or snack just in case your kids get hungry in between. 
After an hour and a half, I find my kids almost done with their work for the day. 
Jurors coloring skills has greatly improved compared to when he was doing it at home. It’s more neat, controlled and I can see how he managed to apply the technique (color in circles) the teacher taught him.
Gabbie like Juro did great! Really improved on her drawing. She made this from scratch. Though she wasn’t able to finish coloring, I’m really happy with the turnout of their first session with Global Art. I’ll write an update of their progress in a few weeks so you can see how there’s really progress with a few sessions as long as your child really likes what he or she does.
Yay! They got to take home Global Art kits so they can further practice drawing, coloring and eventually painting and clay modelling.
As soon as they finished their class, they asked to get french fries–while waiting they checked out what’s in their Global Art bag and immediately used it at home. Thanks again Global Art!
