I can’t remember the last time I was a couch potato. Lounging in my usual house body outfit- no, I don’t wear sweat pants, more like an old dress or shorts & shirts that are too frail, spitting on them is likely to cause the cloth to rip apart heehee, eating junk food and indulging in my favorite TV series or book. I miss lounging, doing nothing else but just enjoy and relax. These days the only time out I get are bathroom breaks and pockets of moments when the lil’ GJGs are taking their afternoon nap.
Usually, to uplift my spirit, I’d bust out my chosen pair of shoes and walk around the house wearing them while I do the laundry or cook our food. Heehee. So this OOTD is similar to the real moments that happen in the GJG household. What being a couch potato is these days means I get to sit on our couch and relish the quite moments I get, as I admire the shoes I’m wearing or subconsciously enjoy the static noise of non-stop car honking echoing from the main street. This OOTD post is quite personal as it was shot at our apartment.
Manila still has a bit of cool breeze left from last year’s holiday craze. I love this time of the year. Just before Chinese New Year comes, the cool breeze remains while rays of sunlight warm one’s face. Steady lang.
I’ve worn this sweater a few times as seen in these OOTD posts HERE, and HERE.
Greys, blacks and whites. These are currently my obsession. Actually, these are evident even in our home. Black couch, grey floor and white doors & light walls. OMG, spot my veins on my legs! So visibly seen. I was fairer kasi back when I was younger, it was even more visible then than now. Does this mean I have thin skin? Napaka-random na analysis! Hahahaha.
Most of my strappy shoes are often tucked away under our bed as our shoe closet is currently filled with shoe assortments as all four of us share it. If you’re like us who live in a small space apartment, get those shoe organisers that you can easily put under the bed or couch to save space. Plus, this is a good hiding place to put all your shoe purchases which your husband didn’t consensually agreed on. Heehee.
Louie Arcilla is such a good photographer. When he asked if we can shoot in our home, I was hesitant because A. we don’t have enough space. B. it doesn’t have enough natural light and C. During his visit, our apartment was cramped with gifts I needed to wrap and things I needed to take photos of and blog about. It was messy & there’s no angle in the place that looks good enough to take photos. But obviously, I was wrong for he did an excellent job in capturing me in my element.
Here’s Kelly & I during some of our candid moments.
Best in bungisngis award na naman ako!
As usual, we didn’t really plan on looking coordinated during the shoot. I guess instinctively, we think alike when it comes to styling ourselves. 😉
Sweater: Mango
Skirt: Zara
Shoes: Dumond
Thanks again Louie for the wonderful photos. You can book an appointment with him through his website at www.louiearcilla.com
