“All three kids of mine have sensitive skin. That is why I am always in search of the best skin care products for them. When I came across Cycles Sensitive, I was intrigued and tried it on my son, and I was pleased to see that my son’s skin became smoother and softer.” -Cheska Garcia-Kramer on choosing Cycles Sensitive for her little ones.
I’ve been a fan of Team Kramer ever since the hasthag of the popular and loveable Kramer family, headed by celebrity husband and wife Doug & Cheska, was first used in their social media accounts. Luckily, I had an opportunity to get to know Cheska up close and personal as we were tapped by a vitamins brand for a campaign together.
She truly is an epitome of a young, modern wife, homemaker and mom. Juggling different roles in between taking care of her family. So when I got invited to the intimate brunch hosted by Cycles Sensitive, to get to know their products and their endorsers, I didn’t miss the opportunity as I really want to know the complete line of Cycles Sensitive, also to catch up with Cheska & finally meet her adorable son Gavin.
Natasha Reyes, brand manager for Cycles Sensitive gave a brief introduction about the brand.
Owner of Eveolution Inc., the company behind Cycles Sensitive and a mom of 5, Emily Balajadia shared to us that she used to import baby products (that are mild and uses natural ingredients for her kids) from the States and other countries. Upon learning the need to fill the demand of moms like her, she and husband Dennis started researching and formulating their own product line that is safe for babies and kids, thus Cycles Sensitive was born.
Like Emily, Cheska is also a meticulous mom and she would only give the best for her kids.
Even before Cheska Garcia-Kramer got tapped by Cycles to be their brand ambassador, she shared that she & her family have been Cycles users. So when she was asked by the brand to endorse Cycles Sensitive, she was so happy as it was a brand she truly believes in.
Sorry, I just had to post the food we had during the launch as they were delicious!
Craving for chocolates right now. Eeeeep!
Anyway, after the sumptuous meal, Dra. Donna Marie Sarrosa gave a short talk about some facts parents should know when it comes their baby’s skin.
Dry skin is a common example of sensitive skin. It usually is rough, cracked, scaly and fissured. Itchiness is common too. This can often times be associated with Atopic Dermatitis. It is caused by immune reactivity, genetic susceptibility, epidermal barrier defect and environmental factors.
Did you know that soap has adverse effects especially to sensitive skin? If your skin is sensitive to soap you get Contact dermatitis. Antibacterial agents, fragrances, dye and preservatives could be some of the factors of this skin disease. To prevent having dry skin, use mild bath wash and after every bath, lather on some moisturizing lotion.
I, for one have kids who have sensitive skin. One day without applying lotion on them and their skin already feels dry and bumpy. That’s why their lotion is the first thing I always pack whenever we go on a trip. I’d rather forget their shampoo than their lotion especially when we go to the beach. Baby lotion is such an essential product in our household, even I use it too! We also alternately use different moisturising lotions because we’ve gotten used to the idea of switching them every now and then as I feel it is more effective this way. One of the brands we use is Cycles Sensitive. It’s one of the first baby brands I’ve tried when I gave birth to lil’ Ms. GJG. I didn’t even know that it was home grown up until I’ve gotten a closer look at the brand. I like that it is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested and gets absorbed by the skin quickly. It’s non-sticky too so it is perfect for my kids who sweat a lot, like pigs in the oven even on cold days. Heehee.
Dra. Sarrosa focused on insect repellants as illnesses such as dengue and chikungunya have had, if not high, evident cases here in the Philippines. Apart from cleaning our immediate surroundings, application of insect repellants are some of the things we can do to at least prevent, if not, lower the probability of being affected by these illnesses.
Guidelines for safe and effective use of insect repellants:
Choose an insect repellent product with no more than 35%, 10% or less DEET for children.
Use enough amount when lathering topical products, do not saturate skin.
Apply only to exposed skin and clothing. Do not apply on the face unless specified otherwise.
Frequent reapplication is rarely necessary.
Characteristics of an ideal insect repellant:
Prolonged efficacy against a wide variety of arthropods.
Non-irritating to the skin on application.
Odorless or has a pleasant odor.
No effect on clothing after application.
We particularly use anti-mosquito citronella patches as my kids like the smell and uses the design to learn about animals & colors! Talk about double purpose.
Now for some Gavin cuteness!
So kilig to have a photo with Gavin which I posted on my Instagram! Here’s another one with his beautiful momma, Cheska.

I am a meticulous mom because I make sure my kids are wearing insect repellant and sunblock before going outside. My older child has skin allergies so I remind her and make sure she applies her face lotion and body lotion 2x a day.

I am OC when it comes to caring for my daughters. I always have an alcohol and wet wipes in the house more so when we are out. Of course, I make them wash their hands before and after eating, after using the toilet and after getting messy in playing. Anti-Mosquito sprays and lotions are a must if we go out of the house. If possible I let my kids wear leggings to prevent scratches and bruises when they are out for a play. I do let them play and enjoy and get in contact with things but definitely must be cleaned after their activities. Both my kids are finger-sucking so I must be meticulous in cleanliness to prevent any harm for my little ones.

Hi Jackie! Thought I’d try my luck on one of your giveaways. 🙂 What makes me a meticulous mom? Well I guess I’m metikulosa in a way that I still heat up some warm water for my baby’s bath ever since I started giving her once up until now. I also make sure that I carry her baby bag complete with all here necessities wherever we go. I always slather her with lotion, powder and baby cologne after every bath. I see to it that she always has a towel on her back especially now in this very hot weather.

Hi. I’m a Mom of 1 and having fun 🙂 Jaden Lucas turned 3 years old last March 30.
As a 1st timer Mom.. I am very particular at products and brands. First of all I make sure that the products are proven and tested safe. Non-negotiable kung mura or super mura pa ng products.. I make sure to check the expiration kahit shampoo, soap or whatever na gagamitin ng Toddler ko. I immediately discontinue the use of product pag nakita ko na he’s not comfortable or irritated sya, and pag na notice ko na merong ibang smell.. In this case I am a self proclaim meticulous mom

I am not a mom, but I am a meticulous dad because every single scratch or just a bit of redness in one of my children’s skin, I ask my wife where it came from or what’s the cause because I want my children to be comfortable as possible with their skin. I want them to be healthy.
