I remember seeing in the mail few years ago, back when Mr. GJG & I were newlyweds, a green colored BDO card. I was so excited, even though it wasn’t addressed to me, I opened it. I guess I was eager to exercise my rights as a Mrs. then heehee. To my delight, even before learning about what the card exactly is, I asked Mr. GJG if he can request the bank to give him a supplementary for me. Later on, upon further examining what it was, did we learn that it was an Emerald Rewards card from BDO.
But what exactly is a BDO Rewards Card? From the name itself, it simply rewards the cardholder points for every valid transaction he makes with BDO. That being said, every qualified bank deposit, bank loan or other qualified bank transaction, the cardholder gets a corresponding reward points which he can use to shop at SM. Kinda like an SM Advantage card where you shop and earn points. BDO Rewards Card can also be used to earn and redeem points at SM Department stores, SM Supermarkets, SM Hypermarkets and other SM partners stores.
Once you receive your BDO Rewards Card and welcome kit, immediately activate your card. so you can start getting rewarded. This was something we should’ve done the moment Mr. GJG got his Emerald Rewards card as we could’ve earned a lot of points from all the shopping we did in preparation for welcoming our first child, lil’ Ms. GJG.
So for you to get started earning rewards points, first you must activate your BDO Rewards Card. You can activate by calling the BDO Hotline at (02) 702-7888 (for Metro Manila) or 1-800-10-702-7888 (for provinces within the Philippines), or you can also activate via text by sending BDO<space>REG<space>CARD NUMBER<space>PIN. But if you want to get rewarded with 100 Bonus Points from BDO Rewards, then you should simply activate your card online. Just visit https://www.bdo.com.ph/bdo-rewards/activate and key in your CARD NUMBER and PIN. Once you have successfully activated your BDO Rewards Card online, the Bonus Points will be credited 7 working days from date of card activation.
 
Get rewarded 100 Bonus Points simply by activating your BDO Rewards Card online.
When your BDO Rewards Card is activated, you can start shopping and start earning points. You can also get free cinema tickets or Starbucks gift certificates when you use your BDO Rewards Card, for more information visit https://www.bdo.com.ph/bdo-rewards/promos.
