Finally, my blog is alive!
I had some hosting issues over the weekend and I’m thankful to my web developer for helping me when it comes to dealing with the technical side of this blog bilang super clueless ako about it. 🙂
Anyway, I drafted a post for Saturday about my exhilarating experience but it didn’t get published immediately since I had some hosting issues nga.
So better late than ever. Allow me to be proud of myself for this ultimate achievement.
I freaking climbed a mountain! 😀 😀 😀
It’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.- Edmund Hillary
Edmund couldn’t be more right. The moment I confirmed I wanted to join the group who organised this hike, I felt a rush of thoughts clouding my judgement.
Can I do it? What if I can’t? I don’t really think I can, I might get asthma attack or leg cramps! Plus I don’t really do cardio, why would I even try climbing a mountain?!
These are just some of the things that run through my mind for weeks prior to climbing. After all, it was my very first hike and though I go to the gym regularly, nature has it’s way of testing and challenging us, and most of the time it’s in circumstances that we’re not prepared for.
I have so many realisations during my first ever hike and it truly deserves another post. I’ll be sharing what happened that day and what I did to prepare for it, what I expected it would be like and the reality of getting out of one’s comfort zone.
In the meantime, allow me to enjoy as I relish the achievement I’ve unlocked over the weekend. 😀
I hope you’re all having a great Monday so far! 😉
