The Globe Tatt Awards 2013 Finalists, Vote For Jackie Go

I received an email a few weeks ago from Globe Tattoo. I figured it was just an announcement of the Globe Tatt Awards event since I have attended their events last 2012 and 2011. But when I re-read the email, I was surprised that it was more than an invite.

Here’s the email conversation we had.

Globe Social Media Team:

Hey Jackie, Congratulations!
You are part of this year’s Tatt Awards finalists for BEST STYLE BLOG!
With this, we’re inviting you to join us on June 13, 2013 at the Cabana Club, Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila for the official announcement of this year’s finalists.
We request, however, that you keep this awesome news to yourself until the said date.

Me:

OMG is this true?! Di ba joke to? Heehee. What an honor to be one of the finalists. Na-pressure ako bigla! I will be there with my plus one. Thank you!

Globe Social Media Team:

Hi Jackie!

We are dead serious. You’re really a FINALIST! Yey! 😀

 Great! Oh and it’s important to keep it a secret until June 13, 2013.

 Anyway, I still couldn’t believe I am one of the five finalists for the style blog category. I am honored to be alongside Camille Co, Laureen Uy, Kryz Uy & David Guison. I keep on thinking why I was chosen to be part of the five stylish people by Globe Tattoo because I feel like the odd one. If you look at my blog, it doesn’t concentrate on fashion and trends. It’s a lifestyle blog that features what interests me (the latest happenings, products, services and everything in between homemaking and motherhood) and what I think interests my readers, who are mostly young moms like me, who love dressing up side by side homemaking and taking care of the family.

Anyway, I attended the Globe Tatt Awards event last Thursday at Cabana Club, where each of the five finalists of the fifteen categories were revealed.

I aim to inspire and empower other women, whether she’s a mom or not. I also break the barrier and notion when it comes to fashion and motherhood, that they can actually co-exist. That being a mom doesn’t and shouldn’t stop you from looking good and feeling good about yourself as a woman, as a wife and as a person. That being stylish is doable and doesn’t have to be expensive, trendy nor uncomfortable. What I present as stylish is real, something that women can actually wear and not break their bank accounts.

So thank you Globe Tattoo for giving me a chance to represent all the moms who like me are stylish despite the load of chores, errands and work. Win or lose I am beyond grateful to be part of this year’s Tatt Awards finalist for best style blog. Yay! 🙂
