Next school year, Gabbie will be attending a big school. There are a lot of things lingering on my mind the moment I learned she passed her evaluation exam. One of which is the quality of education I want for my kids. Honestly, if I had given a chance to study abroad I would’ve taken it. There’s something about people who had the chance to study abroad. They’re more confident, more certain and more knowledgeable don’t you think? That is one of my dreams talaga which I am hoping my kids get to experience. Why? Because I want them to experience life outside of their comfort zones. I want to immerse them to different cultures so they can better understand the world from different perspectives. I want to give them this opportunity because as a mom, I want to give them options which they can choose from freely.
If I had known then the necessaries for me to apply for school overseas, I would have taken that chance to learn. Now I’m sharing with you all the great news for parents and children alike who are interested in studying abroad.

Our counselors provide personalized service to students, advising them on the best ways to achieve their education and career goals. IDP Philippines is an accredited IELTS test provider and has been the leading test centre in the Philippines for the past 20 years.
IDP Education was established in 1969 as an international education aid organization, building skills and resources in universities across South-East Asia. Today, IDP’s role has evolved to include international student recruitment for Australia, the U.S., the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand, and English language testing through its co-ownership of IELTS.
In the Philippines, we have seven counselors across our Manila and Cebu offices to service students and their families. IDP Philippines offers international students in the Philippines who want to study in Australia a range of free services, from course counseling to application submission and assistance with their student visa. Our offices have helped thousands of students to realize their study and life goals in Australia.
Underpinning our success is our dedicated team of experienced education counselors who provide students with reliable and accurate information and advice. Many of our counselors have been international students themselves and have visited many campuses in Australia, enabling IDP to provide personal insights to international students intending to study in Australia.
Last year, IDP Philippines held their first World Education Exhibit. The exhibit features schools from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, USA and United Kingdom that showcased their programs and courses for those who were interested to know. The exhibit also included a familiarization workshop where potential students were briefed on what’s going to happen and how the process works. They let the applicants practice some of the things that are possibly on the test just to reduce their anxieties about the IELTS, (International English Language Testing System) which is a requirement if one wants to study overseas. It doesn’t have a pass-fail mark, it simply gives you the level of your English. They also offer assistance in processing your visa requirements, counselling sessions for prospective students who wish to study abroad but cannot think of a course to get. IDP Philippines gives them a list of the best courses and institutions based on a couple of things like, financial ability, relatives in the area, and so on.
This year, IDP Philippines will hold their second World Education Exhibit, happening today November 15 at Marriot Hotel in Cebu and tomorrow, November 16-17, 2013 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City from 12 noon to 5 pm.
