As a mother of a toddler and a baby, sometimes toys can be my frenemy. I have a love-hate relationship with them. Most of the time, they help me nurture the skills of my children but sometimes they can be a reason for avoidable accidents or just cause a chaotic mess. I’m becoming one of those parents who would rather gift their kids with clothes or shoes or anything else than toys. Maybe I was traumatized? Or perhaps it’s the space in our house that makes me think this way no?
But if there’s one toy that I absolutely cannot resisit, it would be wooden toys. I grew up kasi playing mostly with plastics toys. Back then di pa uso ang wooden toys and you’ll seldom see sets of it here. Now, more and more brands are converting or at least have a collection of wooden toys. I even want a wooden kitchen, not just for Gabbie but for me to play with as well heehee. So when Sherrie of Wonderworld toys sent over some toys from their Color From Nature Collection, I was a giddy kid. F na f ko na akin yung toys! I needed reminding that it’s for my kids heehee.
Wonderworld Toys make award-winning, classic wooden toys that intertwine educational value with play value with an assortment of products for children ages birth and up! Wonderworld Toys are designed to entertain, educate and inspire young minds all the while preserving and protecting Mother Earth, one toy at a time.
Babies aged 0-18 months need toys to stimulate the five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. They find colorful twisting, grasping and shaking toys fascinating, while they learn the concept of cause-and-effect.
At 6 – 12 months plus, when they learn to sit up, crawl, stand, and later on walk, they show preparedness for toys that will help develop their fine motor skills and reach relationship among objects. Appropriate materials for these interesting milestones include nesting cups, activity boxes, stacking toys, blocks and shape-sorters.
From 18 months to 3 years of age, children begin to seek for materials that stimulate more action because they find pleasure in running, jumping, climbing and riding activities. At this stage, they are thrilled to play with push toys and ride-on cars. Pop-ups, take-apart toys and puzzles, on the other hand, are also useful at this stage to satisfy their curiosity of how things work.
What I love about Wonderworld toys is that their products are Eco-friendly. Their Natural Color Collection in particular uses colors from different fruits and vegetables so its very safe for your kids.
Just because they’re toys are made of wood, doesn’t mean they help in detoriorating our environment. Did you know that for every toy Wonderworld makes, they plant more trees? Here’s a graphic illustration to help you understand.

Look at how my kids enjoy their Wonderworld toys.
My lil’ Mr. GJG loves putting anything on his mouth, these naturally colored blocks are safer ha.
While my lil’ Ms. GJG loves sorting the shapes and colors.
My loves enjoying their play time with each other.
Busing- busy. Ayaw magpa-photo! They’re too enthralled with their toys.
If they’ve been smitten with Wonderworld wooden toys, I’m sold at the idea that these toys are made in Thailand and have been helping replenish trees by planting twice as much as what they’ve used.
Thank you again Sherrie for my kids’ toys. I’m planning on ordering a bunch!
