It’s been almost a month since I last had my mani-pedi at a salon. I usually do it on my own to save money but it’s still different when you have it done at a nail salon. The technician would take her time to clean your nails and would even give a hand or foot massage- it’s what I really look forward to most! Heehee. So when Beauty & Butter invited me, together with a handful of media peeps for a day of pampering, I immediately said yes! The nail salon isn’t’ new to me and I’ve tried their services more than a few times, even when I was pregnant with lil’ Mr. GJG. (read my previous visits HERE ,HERE, HERE)
Nothing much has changed since my last visit, save for the most important product in every nail salon- the nail polish. The very first gel polish that I’ve tried is Jennifer Lynn from Beauty & Butter. Now, they decided to push through with four brands that are safe and mild on one’s nails- Gelish gel polish, Ruby Wing, Zoya and Morgan Taylor.
Gelish was the first brush-in-bottle gel polish ever invented. I haven’t tried Gelish though but I might consider it on my next visit. It also has a set called Two of a Kind, Gelish partnered with Morgan Taylor for a set of two polish that can work for any woman who wants a gel manicured nails and a regular polished pedicured toenails or vice versa.
Ruby Wing is every free-spirit’s dream. It’s a color changing nail polish that transforms in sunlight. For some of us that longs for the beach but is stuck in the city, wearing Ruby Wing can instantly change our mood- literally! It’s having two nail polish color in one. What’s not to love?
Zoya is a namesake brand of pianist and cosmetologist Zoya Reyzis. Eventually, Zoya and her husband Michael, who is a chemist, developed products that are healthy, natural and have quality ingredients. Zoya is the healthy color of fashion for its Big 5 Free (free from Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, Camphor and Dibutyl Phthalate) and is vegan friendly. It’s got about 300 beautiful, ultra-wearing, long lasting colors to choose from. Need I say more? 😉
Last of the bunch but definitely not the least is Morgan Taylor. Morgan Taylor is a professional lacquer nail polish brand. I’ve seen and heard about Morgan Taylor before but never really got a chance to try it. So during my latest Beauty & Butter visit, I choose a Morgan Taylor polish for my nails.
It’s amazing how a mani-pedi session can really change one’s mood no? Especially for us ladies who tend to PMS or get really affected by Mercury Retrograde (which by the way is until June 11, boo!) a little me time and pretty nails can help us get through our daily ganaps in life.

Watch out as Beauty & Butter is on to something new. A big change is happening and as what Ruby Wing believes “if nothing ever change then there would be no butterflies!” Exciting times ahead for Beauty & Butter. Thanks again for having me, I enjoyed my me-time. 😉
