Technology, is often associated with the future. For it is the development and use of knowledge towards a certain object, field or method.
During the 1990s, we have predicted that 10 years from then would be of everything instant and flying. Actually, in every decade lived, the future 10 years from then, people always assume that everything will be faster, easier and more high-tech. Well in many cases, what the humans have imagined so did we create.
Technology is, if not often times associated with imagination. Everything starts with imagining, and what creators of technology imagined back when they were kids they created in 10, 20 years after.
Here are some great quotes and sayings about imagination, imagining, to imagine:
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” — Albert Einstein
“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.”
— George Bernard Shaw
“If you can imagine it you can create it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” –William Arthur Ward
They were right. Imagination is the start of creation. Technology is something that grows if not every second at least everyday and we clearly see its transformation in every decade.
Imagine, life before was simple and steady but now, most people would rather have multiple social life via the internet, carry multiple hand-held technologies and would pay thousands of dollars for advance technology they can put their hands on. Now people couldn’t even bear imagine living back at the time of Stone Age. As for the debate if technology does more harm than good is another story.
People will always see the future with hope that it’ll be easier, faster or even more beautiful than the previous decade, year or month. All I know is that it’s not that people aren’t contented (although mostly are) with what they have right now, it’s because people know that they can do better. They can imagine more, create more and do more with what the future will bring.
Now, I wonder, after all the decades of imagining about flying cars and levitated houses, what will happen if in the next 10 years man has created that. What then would we imagine next? All I know is that people always think of something better 😉
