Week 2 of 2019 is all about getting back to our routine. Kids are back in school which means I’m back to waking up at 5 in the morning. While I find it easy to adjust back to our daily ground, Juro had a hard time. He cried every day for a week all because he doesn’t want to part with me. He wanted for school to be over so he can go home and be with me. While I find it cute, I also want him not to feel anxious about school and being away from me. Anyhow, we’re still working on getting Juro back into the groove, crossing our fingers it’s before the month ends.
Back to reality. So glad most of my Pilates Squad are also back to their routine. Our first workout together deserves a photo so here we are. Heehee.
P.S. Wearing a Lorna Jane bra top I bought from Certified Calm. They’re having their end of season sale on all their stores. Follow them on Instagram to get updates.

Welcomed the midweek with our first meeting for 2019. After that fellow momma blogger, Shari of The Misty Mom & I hung out for that much needed catch up. I ended up getting a pair that sparks joy. Hihi.
Come Thursday, I made an effort to #lookgoodfeelgreat and put on makeup and did my hair. Just what I needed after being on a hiatus over the holidays. Attended my first event of the year and I’m glad it’s a Watsons shopping event! Pretty sure I’m not the only one who loves going around a Watsons store to check out new products. PSA: Dear Klairs, NeoGen, COSRx are just some of the Korean skin care brands that are already available at Watsons! While I tried my very best not to hoard on some of my fave products, I ended up buying a bunch of hair care because I wanna take care of my hair more this year.
Come Friday (hello weekend!) I spent it watching my first born perform for her field demonstration. While I know she loves dancing just as much as she loves gymnastics, I was so surprised on how natural, in the zone and overall amazing she is! As in! She was front & centre, dancing to her heart’s content! This painfully shy lil’ lady don’t often like attention but if it’s something that she likes doing and if it’s a requirement (lol no choice) her quiet confidence radiates. I am truly one proud mom!
I’m on my first day of detox today. I’ll tell you more about it on next week’s recap but for now I just wanna share I’m on my 13th day of my 30-Day no sweets challenge. I’m proud of myself for thriving despite being surrounded by sweets & treats! Imagine being at Pancake House watching your kids devour a Golden Brown Waffle with fluffy butter & syrup?? Huhuhu. Buuuut like I said, I wanna develop discipline and doing the challenge is one way to get it.
Weekends as usual are spent indulging enjoying good food and great company. We watched Bumblebee (omg y did I cry though hahahuhu) ate popcorn & Potato Corner. Kids had donuts, cinnamon rolls, chips & other sweet delicious treats. Yes, just enumerating those food I cannot eat. Hahaha.
We also spent a good amount of time disconnecting last Saturday. We watched some new TV series in our jammies, ordered take out and just enjoy QT with the fam. It was refreshing, I plan on doing more weekends like that again. That’s it! Looking forward to Week 3 of 2019 with hope that I’ll get through my detox! đŸ˜‰
