Nope, this post doesn’t revolve around a love story of a girl named Valentina who wants a guy named Valentino. Although, it is quite similar. You see, I’ve been dreaming for so long for this coveted Valentino “Rockstud” as what my friend Tin aka Manila Fashion Observer dons.
Klaazzzz. Hahahay! I want the nude heels of this Valention “Rockstud”. But until I win the lottery, or someone would sell this that’s willing to be paid in instalment, then I shall just dream and swoon over Tin’s and other women’s pairs! Akshuli, wala naman siyang konek (Actually, it doesn’t really have any connection) with this OOTD but it was very timely as I was thinking of a witty title for it, I was also Googling this pair, one of the many dream shoes I lust for!
Back to the OOTD. Here’s one outfit that I like because the dress is such a stunning one. I was so happy to purchase it because… wait for it..
I got this dress on sale for only Php 400! That’s roughly around $9. WHAT. A. STEAL.
Snakeskin/ python prints, like animal prints are staple and they come and well, really not go in fashion. The only thing one should consider when investing in these kinds of prints is the style of the clothing. It has to be simple enough to last trends and seasons. Lucky that this dress is a perfect match.
I love that the boldness of the print compliments the style of it. Closed round neck, 3/4 sleeves and the length sits exactly on the knees make it simple enough to be worn over and over again. Resurrect it after years and the style jury would still see this as a chic piece that can pass off as new and current.
Try kong mag-curly hair and wear this with my snakeskin heels at achieve ko na talagang maging modern-day Valentina! Heehee.
No need to wear any accessories as the dress itself makes you oh-so-chic instantly! Off to a meeting where you need to look more formal and put together? Wear a black blazer to give the round neck a contrast to compliment with. For the lapel or collar of the blazer will work its magic, giving you an instant polished look.
The length of the dress falls perfectly on my knees. For dresses or skirts like this, you should always wear heels. Wearing flats can make the whole look unflattering especially if you’re not gifted on the height department, as it can give an illusion that you’re shorter than you actually are.
