November is one of my favorite months because it always builds up the anticipation of Christmas. Brands launching their Fall/Winter collection, the transition from spooky decor to sparkly ornaments, down to Christmas carols and events that welcome the holiday cheer. All these excite me and make me look forward to Christmas.
So last Friday, SM Supermalls, the country’s first and largest chain of shopping centres, rings in the holiday season with its biggest, grandest and best celebration yet. The launch happened at the company’s first shopping mall- SM City North EDSA. It was a privilege to attend the royal ball, The Prince In Me, hosted by SM Supermalls in partnership with the iconic toy brand Barbie.
A royal entrance for the royal guests and shoppers at SM City North EDSA.
A princess ball won’t be complete without the princesses and princes. Hi there Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Prince Charming!
Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather also came to celebrate!
A princess was spotted treating herself to some sweets.
Sweets and treats! The princesses were also treated to fun activities such as face painting and hair styling.
I was also a princess that afternoon. I got to try out Cinderella’s glass slippers and sit on a princess chair.
The grand launch is only the first of the many festivities to come. Shoppers and guests are encouraged to take part in the wide variety of events, activities, and promotions set to be held at each of the SM Supermalls locations, from the unveiling of uniquely themed Christmas trees designed to impart each mall with a holiday spirit, to Christmas parades, concerts, meet-and-greets, musical and theatrical performances, specialty bazaars, and awe-inspiring fireworks and sound displays.

Miriam Quiambao & Divine Lee were also present.
Mikyle Quizon, Dani Barretto and Lissa Kahayon.
Hideo Muraoka, Fatima Rabago with daughter Daniella.
Raymon Gutierrez and Denise Laurel hosted the event.
Kendra Kramer was one of the princesses who graced the event and witness the lighting of the Princess Christmas Tree.

The Princess in Me Christmas tree is made from pretty white gowns.
It looks lovelier when lit up. Do expect that this beautiful tree lights up every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the Christmas holidays.
After the tree lighting, we got to check out the latest apparel collection from Barbie.
Chic clothes for modern day princesses.
Nikki Gil closed the event and serenaded everyone.
Of course I had to have a photo with THE Kendra Superstar. She’s so cute like a real live Babrie.
Mom-daughter Cheska & Kendra make half of Team Kramer. So nice chatting with you again Cheska. Kendra’s such a smart girl!
I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world!
Too bad I wasn’t able to bring lil’ Ms. GJG for she had school and ballet class that afternoon. I know she would’ve loved the event as much as I did. Expect that SM Supermalls has an exciting lineup of activities set for the coming months. More than just a destination of some of the country’s best shopping, dining, and leisure options, SM Supermalls will also help visitor share in the spirit of giving with its newest initiative the SM Cares Bears. Available across SM Supermalls, shoppers can purchase a pair of the SM Cares Bares for donation to any one of the specially chosen charities and beneficiaries unique to each SM Supermalls location.
Also, shoppers get a chance to win prizes every week when they share images of the malls, events and activities so don’t forget to tag #MerrySMChristmas on social media.
