One thing I like about summer is that it is the perfect season for play. By play I mean explore, discover and learn. When we let our kids play, it helps them learn a lot of things. About themselves, their playmates, their surroundings and of course it also helps us parents learn too. How to enjoy, have fun and to let our kids be kids.
The SoMoms together with our SoKids had an activity-filled day one Saturday of April. It was a day of exploration and fun brought to us by My Masterpiece Movement and Breeze which was held at Trevia in Nuvali. A lot of activities that day were devoted to exploration and fun for kids and kids at heart.
The event was hosted by My Masterpiece Movement. It is a creative multi-arts Movement led by husband-and-wife artists Rayyn and Anna Cortez, with Anna’s sister Kara Escay – sparks hearts, shifts views, and stretches ways of being through creativity and the multi-arts.
We SoMoms did yoga together with our SoKids. Everyone was very eager to learn the poses led by Teacher Anna. It has been a few months since I last did yoga and boy did it feel good doing it again.
My Masterpiece Movement Yoga is an innovative home-grown program teaches yoga sequences, breathwork and guided imagery through wonderful interactive movement stories/poetry and draw & tells written by Anna, original alternative music performed live by Rayyn, and transformative art and how to see & draw facilitated by Kara.
Even my gwapito Juro enjoyed yoga time with her Achi & Mom.
After our yoga, the SoKids did some art with Teacher Kara. They hand painted alongside each other, which was a nice way of forming friendships and learning social skills.

Sige lang ng sige.
Playtime with Berry & Ate Reese in between yoga & hand painting. After these activities, we went for a swim and everybody was just happy, we enjoyed the cool water and warm sun.
Swimming time with the SoMoms, SoKids even the supportive hubbies.
All smiles as we had fun under the sun.
And because Breeze encourages Moms to let their kids explore and have fun, they were present during our event. We even had a chance to write our own meme for their campaign- Sige Sa Mantsa!
