One of the things I am not good at nor have the patience to do is to curl my eyelashes. They’re relatively long so it takes quite a few minutes to curl them nicely or maybe I’m just OC? I admit, it isn’t one that I do on a daily basis. With all the things I need to fulfil everyday, having a nice set of curled eyelashes isn’t one of them. Why would I even attempt to curl my eyelashes every single day when I can just get an eyelash extensions? So I did, at Stylash.
I visited the newly opened Stylash Eyelash Salon at the ground floor of The Landmark in Makati City. They’re right by the escalator going up so you won’t miss it.
Stylash uses mink (from an animal’s coat) for their eyelash extensions, so it’s light as a feather.
There are five styles of eyelash, two kinds of mink curls, six different lengths and five colours to choose from.
A J-shaped extension is curled only at the tip, making it look like a letter J. While C shaped is curled more obvious, making it look like a letter C. For the length, you can choose the shortest which is 8mm or go full on long with the 12 mm.

Stylash can accommodate up to 5 customers at the same time. The process will take about 30 minutes for the Nude extension to 2 hours for the Full Diva extension. They also have eyebrow tint colouring and eyebrow threading so while you’re at it, you can have these services made to get the full eyebrow and eyelash experience.

I opted to get the Super Star 20 mm J eyelash extension in black. The last time I had my eyelash extensions, I opted for the natural looking style and it barely made a difference.
A Q10 collagen treatment is put under your eye to help ease the eye bags. It’s perfect to have your extensions made after a hard day’s work because you’re obliged to close your eyes the entire duration of the service. A nap is also helpful and is encourage so the eye muscles are more relaxed, making it easier to put on the extensions. The fumes of the glue can get into your eyes and nose and may make you feel uncomfortable, even have watery eyes and runny nose, especially if you have allergic rhinitis. But I’m happy to report that compared to my first eyelash extension from a different salon, Stylash was way better. The fumes weren’t as strong nor did my eyes got irritated as much as before. A
So after an hour and a half of closing my eyes and dozing off, here’s my pretty eyelash extensions.

As I was on my way to the parking lot, a few women commented at how nice my lashes were. There was even a kid about 5 years old, who kept on looking at me while we were riding the escalator and when she couldn’t resists, she tugged her mom’s dress to call her attention, pointed at me and said “Mama, she’s like a Barbie o!” Best. Compliment. Ever! Winneeeer 😉

No need for eye make up when you’ve got pretty eyelashes no? Eyebrow and lipstick na lang and I’m all set!
Here’s a quick tip: If you’re wearing eyeglasses, I suggest get the 8mm length and go Full Diva! I had to cut my eyelash extensions because I can’t wear my eyeglasses while working or driving! Hahahay. Parang wiper lang ang dating and it keeps on going against the lens of my glasses.
Overall, I am happy with my eyelash extensions. Compared to the natural eyelash extension I had few years back, Stylash mink eyelash extensions felt lighter and sturdier. It has been almost two weeks now since I had them and they’re almost all still intact. I would recommend this to women who want to look fresh and polished the moment they wake up in the morning, for the busy women who want to look nice but doesn’t have the time nor the effort to put on make up.
