One of the things I want to do this year is run. I’ve expressed my struggle to love it because I am uncoordinated and I have asthma. I used to hate it so much–running on a treadmill in particular–because I couldn’t last 5 minutes without feeling my lungs burning & my legs giving up on me. But as I do it more often, I’ve managed to survive 20 minutes on the treadmill and managed to do my very first fun run–read about it HERE.
So when Nike held a run last week to showcase their newest tights, I didn’t think twice–the old me would’ve politely declined–and confirmed my attendance immediately. I am seriously liking this new me. Haha!
Of course a Nike run wouldn’t be complete without the Nike+ Run Club.
Option to do 3K, 5K & 10K. And because we just finished our 360 PRO workout, my fitness beshies Chappy, Jeff & I decided to do 3K.
Nike’s newest Zonal Strength Tights feature compression zones built directly into the base fabric, targeting key muscle groups to reduce muscle vibration for an efficient workout, without restricting mobility. It targets thighs and calves to reduce muscle vibration where runners need it most. Flyvent waistband provides breathability and four-way stretch fabric enhances mobility, especially in the hips and knees.
Post run glow. Naks. Hahahha.
I like how the Nike Zonal Strength Running Tights feels like second skin. It fits perfectly–mid rise which help keep the lower abdomen tight (perfect for my puson haha). I honestly felt I was faster–even though I know I’m not! At the very least I managed to enjoy my run.
Downloaded the NRC app (free on Google Play & iOS) to track my progress. Legit na talaga guys, here’s to conquering my fear of running a long distance. I hope I can marathon someday but for now, steady na ko with 3 or 5K!
Nike from top to bottom (except the cap).
