Yesterday my biggest collaboration to date went live.
Somebody pinch me! Few years ago I was just one of AVA’s customers, shopping and adding to cart pieces from their collection. My most favorite would be from Vanessa Matsunga’s collection coz my lil’ Ms. JG & I went full on matchy-matchy.

So when AVA approached me to do a collaboration, particularly create my own capsule collection, I didn’t think twice and went for it. Even though I am not creative nor have no background whatsoever with design I was thrilled doing this project.
Thankfully Aris Trinidad, in-house designer of AVA was so eager to help me create my collection.
Fabric swatches galore! The struggle to choose the right fabric and color for each piece. I have no idea what suits what but thankfully Aris guided me through the whole process.
It wasn’t stressful at all. In fact the process of creating the collection only took us a total of three meetings. The initial meeting was about the collaboration, the second one was the design and choosing of fabrics and third one was checking the sample. I guess the only challenge was choosing the final pieces. We thought about what modern women go for. Whether you’re a young professional, a businesswoman, a mom, a college student, or a free-sprited fresh grad itching to start climbing the corporate ladder or see the world, there’s a piece from the collection for you.
Our third meeting where I got to check the samples. After a few adjustments and alterations, we were ready to shoot.
Ngiting tagumpay!
So thankful that the weather cooperated and that we managed to finish the shoot earlier than we expected.
Thank you Anj Dargani for my lovely makeup! Also thank you also Rap Yu for capturing the clothes in all their beauty! 🙂
We shot the collection at an old building along Escolta. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve seen some BTS during the shoot which happened last Friday. Five days after and the collection was up on AVA.ph site. Ambilis! Heehee.
This collection is dedicated to every modern woman who likes dressing up but hates thinking of what to wear. Minimalist and clean. Each piece you can easily mix and match, adding low key structured pieces to your existing wardrobe. You probably know by now that I’m very partial to basic pieces and colors black, white and grey. I’ve also included blush in the collection since it has slowly become a neutral color that’s easy to wear.
Can’t wait to show you how I wear these pieces and incorporate them to my daily life as a mom and blogger. 😉
You can read about what inspired me to create this collection HERE. Thank you for the wonderful write up, Joshua!
I hope you ladies like it as much as I truly enjoyed creating it for you. 🙂 Thank you again AVA for the opportunity to share my style to the modern women of today! This is by far the best birthday gift!!!
