Call it British invasion because there’s another UK brand that landed in Philippine shores and this time, they bring all things cute, functional and durable. Everyone meet Mamas & Papas.
A few weeks ago, they held an intimate press launch to officially introduce their brand here in Manila. Given I’m a mama myself, I went because I just couldn’t resist learning more about baby brands.
Lovely set up at Duck & Buvette, where some of the Mamas & Papas products were displayed.
Parenting wisdom from some of the attendees were scattered all over the restaurant alongside cute clothes for lil’ boys & girls. There’s something about baby clothes talaga that makes anyone gush in delight.
As I was roaming around taking photos, I spotted my own two cents on parenthood posted. Hihihi.
The intimate launch was graced by no other than His Excellency Asif Hamad, Ambassador of United Kingdom in the Philippines. He shared his own victories as a father and a grandfather and how products such as Mamas & Papas have greatly helped him & his family when it comes to child rearing.
Kathleen Chua, Marketing Manager of Mamas & Papas talked about the different products of their brand and how it conforms to three important things that mamas & papas look for when purchasing something for their little ones – safety, functionality and durability. All the guests couldn’t agree more. Aside from these traits, design is also one thing Mamas & Papas consider. Their products are built to blend in one’s home, having bright colors & sophisticated structure.

Baby gym that looks like a cute lady bug.
My lil’ Ms. JG was so tempted to ride Charlie the caterpillar but since she’s big na, she opted to sit on the cute red chair instead. Hihi.
The mommas couldn’t help but adore the event styling by @shedreamsininkduring. I particularly like this table vignette.
I was with my lil’ Ms. JG who was very busy doing artwork. Thanks Tita Didi for her blackout notebook. She obviously liked it!
After lunch was served, I was called out to participate in a game and my partner was Cat Arambulo. Since Mamas & Papas believe in teamwork, the challenge for us was to dress our baby using only one hand.
Dressing up in one hand seemed easy but the other challenge was to finish fast, under 60 seconds. Think Minute To Win It!
At dahil competitive kami, we had under wraps with 20 minutes to spare. We won! Yay!
After the fun games, a real life mama & papa team shared their tips when it comes to parenting together – meet Tin Dychiao & husband Harvey Dychiao.
According to them, delegating responsibilities is important in order for team work to be effective and when it comes to making decisions, especially when it’s something that concerns the family, they do it together. Indeed parenting is a team work and that each one has a responsibility to uphold. Speaking of team, Mamas & Papas is holding a contest over their Facebook & Instagram page.
Go ahead and join! You might win a mamas & Papas Sola City Pushchair worth P25,000! 😉
