The intimate gathering where beauty & make up lovers gushed over L’Oreal products was nothing short of fancy. It felt as if we were transported in Paris, having tea and scones.

Because it was a swatch and shoot event, I went on and removed my make up to try some of the L’Oreal products.

True Match Genius is a genius! The cream to powder formula makes it easy to apply & blend. If you’re oily, this is something you might want to try. I like how light it feels on my skin–I used it as my foundation/powder and concealer around my eyes and chin. Coverage is buildable– I like how it has 6 shades to choose from which you can mix and match to your skin tone or use different shades as foundation, concealer and contour.
La Palette Nude in Beige was surprisingly nice. I like how the 10 finely pigmented shades lets me create different eye makeup– natural to smokey eyes. I didn’t have any eyelid primer but it held on for the rest of the day.
Superstar Liner makes creating wingtip easy with its corseted applicator–it allowed me to precisely line my eyes with ease.
False Lash Superstar Mascara is a double ended mascara that lengthens and volumizes. I didn’t curl my lashes that day so I was hoping the mascara would help push up my lashes–unfortunately it didn’t. The fiber though does its job of volumizing, while the other end–the jet black mascara lengthens the lashes even more. I don’t know if it’s just my way of applying it, but my lashes fanned out flat with it. Though it gave me superstar lashes–definitely long and thick, I wished it gave the curl my lashes need.
Color Riche Velvet Pink La Vie En Rose in Jasmine gives a natural flush of pink on my lips. It’s been a while since I last wore a non-matte lipstick. Feels unusual on my lips but I’m liking how natural and light it feels. I’ll be writing a separate post about the La Vie En Rose collection so you can see how each one would look.
And because I can’t get enough of matte lippies, I tried one of Cosmo’s Best Dark Colors, that’s L’Oreal Rich Matte Reds.
Color Riche Matte Reds in Pure Garnet and Pure Rouge. Between the two, I always choose the darker shade. I find it more flattering on me that reds, so I tried Color Riche Matter Reds in Pure Garnet.
Bang for your buck! This L’Oreal Color Riche Matte Reds in Pure Garnet is indeed flattering (on all skin tones). It’s matte but doesn’t feel as dry as most matte lippies are. Adding this to my growing list of favourites!
Hopefully, I get to try Brow Artist Chisel Straight next time!
