Every one of us has something we’re saving up for. A house, a luxury item, a car, a trip. It can actually be anything. I personally have a wish list that grows over the years. Next year, I’m turning 30. What’s so special apart from the fact that I’m no longer in my 20s? Well, I’ve promised myself I’ll visit the Land of The Rising Sun in 2015! In order for me to make this happen, I have to be practical and really save up for this trip.
Now how can I fund my Dirty Thirty Japan trip when I’m really not a good of a saver, I’m more like a spender you know? So saving and setting aside a budget on a long term basis (read: a year), without spending a few hundreds of it, on what else but food and fashion, isn’t really a reality for me.
This is what was on my mind as I was sipping my morning coffee while doing our grocery list. I ponder on how I can save without literally putting money in a piggy bank. Then, a lightbulb moment happened as I was listing down the toiletries we needed. I suddenly remembered my Watsons Hair Affair post. This prompted me to head on over at the nearest Watsons store to check out on the latest promos.
What greeted me on the left side of the store was this gondola filled with Watsons Own Brand products that were Buy 1 take 1.
As I further went inside the store, almost every category (hair, body, oral, even baby care) offers a Buy 1 Take 1 promo on their selected products. They’ve got the whole nine yards covered. I was like a kid in a candy store, scrutinizing the pretty packaging of the products, wanting to throw everything inside my shopping basket just because the B1T1 promo is too good to pass up on.
Each dedicated shelf has a yellow signage that means there’s buy 1 take 1 product offering. I tell ya, I went ballistic scouting aisle per aisle checking out the products.
OMG hair dryer & hair iron are also B1T1!
Split this with a friend and you each only pay Php 450 for a ceramic hair iron! Such a steal deal!
I confess, I’m a sucker for body wash. Mr. GJG can attest to this as he would see lines of bottles in my not-so-secret hiding place at home. From fruity scents to fresh-out-of-the-shower scents, Watsons label has them!
I highly recommend these kiwi and strawberry body wash from Wastons label. They smell so divinely fruity, you’ll spend more time in the shower than the usual.
Hair Treatments and Shampoos.
Yun totoo? Are you as overwhelmed as I am? I had to stop myself from hoarding and getting all these Watsons Label products. After circling around the Watsons store, I decided to pick out the ones we needed.
They also have a dedicated area for our beauty needs. Make up brushes, sponge, and hair accessories included! I got myself an eyebrow brush and a retractable lip brush. These come in handy for when I need to use eyebrow powder to fill my brows and tubes of lipsticks that are almost empty I need a lip brush to apply them on.
The Watsons Switch and Save Movement allows us to save more money with every purchase of Watsons Own Brand product. It gives us the benefit of saving hundreds of pesos without scrimping on the quality of our purchases. I joined the Watsons Switch and Save movement because being a bargain hunter, it is my duty to shop for quality yet affordable products. I really get giddy and I feel like I spent a good amount of my money whenever I shop at Watsons.
It’s nice to know that you need not to scrimp on products and quality just so you can save. By switching to Watsons Brands, not only did it prompted me to save, I also got more than what I needed, all thanks to their Buy 1 Take 1 promo. The Baby Bath is for my children as each one likes to have their own bottle of bubbles, while the mouth wash is for me and Mr. GJG as we like having our own bottle too!
If you switch to a Watsons Label, you also get a chance to own this chic monogram tote. For every Php 500 worth of Watsons Label products or Php 400 worth if you’re an SM Advantage Card holder, you get to take this tote home with you!
Saving has been made easy with Watsons Switch and Save. I am even more excited to plan for my Dirty Thirty in Japan all because I made a move- I switched and saved with Watsons. If you are aiming to get that designer bag, purchase that coveted pair of shoes or dine out with your special someoe, then go ahead and make the change as every little bit counts when you’re saving up. Start shopping for Watsons Own Brand so you can have more money to spend on the things you love.
