After learning I have PCOS back in 2018, my skin has never been the same. Texture became rough, skin tone uneven and bouts of pimples popping here and there making me look like I’m undergoing puberty. Hahahuhu.
While I’m trying to manage my PCOS symptoms (fat storage, weight gain, cramps, anxiety, mood swings, & acne) by avoiding refined sugar & dairy, I’m also avoiding products that can further aggregate my skin issues. Which is why I’ve cleared out my toiletries and have been using only a handful of products. Recently I’ve added Happy Skin Hyaluronic Spot Free Glow Set.
Happy Skin Hyaluronic Spot Free Glow Set
Fellow blogger Jheng of www.iambrigitte.com went on a vacation in Manila and she was kind enough to bring this set (among other things) with her back here in UAE. Thank you super Jheng! I still owe you coffee for this kind gesture.
Anyhow, I’ve been using Happy Skin Hyaluronic Soothing Cleansing Gel & Boost Water Cream since receiving it mid-February. Safe to say it’s been added to my fave Happy Skin products (their lipsticks are my faveeee!).
Happy Skin Hyaluronic Soothing Cleansing Gel
Happy Skin’s new Hyaluronic Soothing Cleansing Gel washes away dirt, oil, pollutants, and even makeup to prevent breakout-causing buildup. Featuring a calming and hydrating formula that’s suitable for all skin types, this cleanser clarifies and purifies to allow the skin to readily absorb beneficial ingredients from serums and moisturizers.

What I love about Happy Skin Hyaluronic Soothing Cleansing Gel:
It contains hyaluronic acid, ceramide & cica. Hyaluronic acid main function is to retain water to keep skin hydrated. Ceramides are like glue that hold our skin cells together. Cica also known as centella asiatica is a well-known ingredient in Korean beauty products. This ingredient helps calm redness brought about by eczema, acne or any other flaring of the skin. Put these all three together and you’ve got yourself a trifecta of a cleanser.
A little goes a long way. A pea-size amount lathers up to cleanse your entire face and décolletage too.
It smells clean and feels light. I love using cleansers that are almost fragrance-free. I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like it helps clean my skin more, if that makes sense. I also like that its a gel-type cleanser because it feels light to lather. Because I know Happy Skin products are good to my skin, as expected it didn’t give that taut or tight feeling after. If anything my skin feels cleansed but never striped off of moisture.
Reduced acne redness & dryness. I have combination skin and it can get frustrating at times because my t-zone is oily while other areas of my face is dry. This is why I’m quite particular with using the right cleanser to balance my combination skin. So I was really happy with this cleanser because it has given moisture to the dry areas of my face–particularly my cheeks and chin. Also amazed at how it has calmed down redness and has minimized those tiny bumps I get from wearing mask (hello maskne).
I do wish though that this came in a pump bottle so dispensing it is easier. Like with just a pump or half a pump and you get enough amount per use. But other than this, I’ve got nothing but praises for this cleanser!

What I love about Happy Skin Hyaluronic + B3 Boost Water Cream:
It contains hyaluronic acid, ceramide & niacinamide. Hyaluronic acid main function is to retain water to keep skin hydrated. Ceramides are like glue that holds our skin cells together. Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B that helps reduce skin pigmentation while retaining moisture. This is a great combination for a moisturizer especially if you have sensitive or blemished skin.
A little goes a long way. Like the Hyaluronic cleanser, you only need a dab of this moisturizer to cover your entire face.
Skin so hydrated without the icky sticky feeling. If there’s one criteria I look for in a moisturizer it’s that it shouldn’t feel sticky. And Happy Skin Hyaluronic + B3 Boost Water Cream passed with flying colors. It does its job to moisturize the skin and I like that I can comfortably wear it when the weather is humid (summer slowly unfolding here in Dubai) and even as a primer for makeup (it doesn’t make my powder or concealer cakey). I also like how it gets absorbed by skin yet it leaves a bit of hydration evident with a faint dewy finish.
Bye blemishes, hello glow. Like I mentioned, I have a bit of acne scars that I usually treat with tea tree. Perfect timing as I ran out of it so I put off purchasing and instead religiously applied Happy Skin Hyaluronic + B3 Boost Water Cream for two weeks. I noticed my acne marks lightened and overall gave my skin a subtle glow–like I had a facial or something. Though I still get pimples here and there, those tiny bumps I get from wearing a mask near my jawline and chin has become less severe and (less prominent, more flat) I know this Hyaluronic duo plays a role in keeping them pesky bumps & PCOS acne at bay.
I wish this moisturizer came in tube just because I’m not a fan of skincare in a jar for hygienic reason. Though I don’t share my skin care products with anyone, I still get OC whenever I need to dip my finger in it (I always wash my hands prior to doing so). But other than this, I highly recommend this Happy Skin gel moisturizer to those who want to improve their skin’s texture all while getting the moisture it needs without that greasy feeling.
Happy Skin Invisible Pimple Patch
What I love about Happy Skin Beauty Invisible Pimple Patch:
It has cica. Like I said, Cica is a popular K-Beauty ingredient because it helps soothe inflammation and redness. Perfect ingredient for a pimple patch.
It is nearly invisible. The patch is almost undetectable. My husband didn’t notice me wearing it when I had a huge pimple on my cheek. He was surprised it was gone after a day, only to realize I was wearing an invisible pimple patch. Heehee.
It indicates when you can remove it. When middle part of the patch turns white that’s an indication that you can remove the patch and your pimple has dried out.
Expresses pimple without scarring. Like many women, I’m the type who likes popping her pimples every chance I get. I learned to use this pimple patch and it has helped me rid of PCOS acne without scarring my skin. Such a lifesaver especially during that time of the month when pimples usually come to say hi.
Though I only used this twice, I’d recommend this for emergency. Say you have an important meeting and want to look cover and treat a very obvious pimple as you can use this day or night.
I still have a few small bumps on my lower cheeks and chin. I get them once in a while after wearing mask or whenever its that time of the month for me. I still need to consult with an OB to further help me with my PCOS (I’m looking for a good OB here in Dubai so if you have any recommendations please let me know) but I’m glad there are products like Happy Skin to help me combat my skin concerns. I wish they ship to Dubai though.
