Here’s the thing, after being invited by Yummy to be one of the participants for Yummy Eat’s 2012 Mom-Child Cook-Off sponsored by Hunt’s a few weeks ago, I still can’t believe that I was chosen. Out of tons of well-known kitchen savvy mom bloggers out there, I was hand picked to be one of the three participants to cook with their child. Hmmm. Maybe they ran out of options? I don’t know! But whatever the reason is, I’m just honored to be part of it as well as my darling daughter Gabbie! Imagine our team being a preggy and a two year old, I can clearly picture the riot and mess we’re going to make!
NKKLKL (nakakaloka lang) at NKKPP (nakakapressure pa!). My husband even thought I was joking after I told him about the event. H: You’ll cook? But what will you cook?! Me: I know right?! *flashes a big grin* Nonetheless, being the supportive husband that he is, he just wished me luck and told me that despite the pressure, all I have to do is to have fun together with Gabbie come the big day.
On a serious note, I am deeply humbled by this opportunity so thank you Yummy & Hunt’s team for making me part of this, truly an honor and a privilege! 🙂
What is this all about?
What exactly are we gonna do?

I am quite nervous, pressured but at the same time excited about the cook-off mainly because I’ll be joined by two talented mom-bloggers Michelle of My Mom-Friday and Pehpot of Dishes by Pehpot. It is truly an honor to be ranked along with them. Still haven’t figured out my menu for the cook-off but I hope I can pull off cooking three family-style dishes in one hour, ohhh please wish me and Gabbie tons of luck! Lady luck, I need all the four-leaf clover I can get! :p
Like what I’ve been tweeting the past few days, win or lose this is something that I know I can be proud of. It has also become a way of letting the inner cook in me experiment and try on creating dishes that my family would come to love.
Thank you Hunt’s for the product samples! There’s definitely no excuse not to whip up yummy dishes with these goodies!
So I’m inviting you all to come experience a gastronomical feast this Saturday, May. 26, 2012 from 10 am- 9pm (our cook-off is at 2 pm) at The Rockwell Tent. Entrance Fee is at 150 pesos but if you bring your Yummy May 2012 copy, you only pay 100 php. You get to sample over 50 food items and watch the cook-off (show your support for me and the two other mommies please?) Let’s make chikahan (that’s most probably after I finished cooking) and don’t forget to say ‘hi’ to me and to Gabbie! 🙂
For more information check out Yummy.ph and Hunt’s. You might just score free tickets to the event.
