Sharing with you all my current favorite makeup look: Nude.
It’s not the No Makeup makeup look though. Kinda hard to explain because I am not a makeup expert (I just like putting makeup on my face though hahaha) so I’m just posting my FOTD along with the brands I used.
Lately I’ve been drawn to clean, almost skin but plakado makeup. Accentuating just one part of my face to stand out. I don’t really follow makeup trends because girrrrrrrl, I haven’t even perfected doing different eyeshadow techniques and I just stick with the basic, what more follow trends? Hahahuhu.
Anywayssssss, here are the products I used to achieve this look.
It takes a village beshies! Or in this case 10 makeup products to create a simple look heehee.
BASE
Tony Moly Spoiler Mini Contouring Cushion in 01 (soft brown), MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC 42 and MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood
Since I got a tan over summer, I barely put on any base (because I’m cheap to buy new foundation heehee). But eventually I was forced to get one shade darker of my face powder– I now use MAC Studio Fix NC 42. What I use as my base is Tony Moly’s Spoiler Mini Contouring Cushion in 01. I know it’s supposed to be used to contour but since all my cushions are lighter than my skin tone at present, I tried the contouring cushion instead. Aaaaand whadaaaayaknow pak na pak sya as my makeup base! Ganun ako ka-tan! 😀 Also used MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood as my eyeshadow base. I literally just swiped it on my lids and yun na! Because as I said, I’m not very good at applying eyeshadow and since this is a pot, I just used my index finger to apply it on my eyelids. Love the creamy texture which makes it easy to blend.
MAC Studio Fix Powder is available at all MAC counters and Tony Moly Spoiler Mini Contouring is available at all Tony Moly stores.
BROWS
K-Palette Lasting 3 Way Eyebrow Pencil in 01 and Banilla Co Browcara in 01
Used the spool of the K-Palette Lasting 3 Way Eyebrow Pencil to fix my brows then outlined it with the pencil and filled the gaps using the powder. I then set it with Banilla Co Browcara.
K-Palette Lasting 3 Way Eyebrow Pencil is available at all Beauty Bar stores and Banilla Co Browcara is available at Banilla Co stores.
EYES
Dolly Wink Eyeliner and Happy Skin At Long Lash Mascara
Like I mentioned, I used MAC Paint Pot on my lids then I lined it with Dolly Wink eyeliner. I like using it to create that cat eye/wing tip line. As for my lashes I used the newest from Happy Skin, At Long Lash. It’s claim to fame of giving long lashes without drooping is true! Something I’m surprised since most waterproof mascara tend to make my lashes flat out straight. So you can say this is currently my favorite mascara!
Dolly Wink Eyeliner is available at SM Beauty stores and Happy Skin At Long Lash Mascara is available at all Happy Skin Stores and online at happyskincosmetics.com
CHEEKS
Benefit Cheekathon Palette
The Benefit Cheekathon has been my go-to blush palette. It contains 5 of Benefit’s best-selling blushes. I love mixing and matching it depending on how flushed I want my cheeks to appear. For this FOTD, I mixed Hoola and Rockateur to give that almost natural color with a bit of highlight on my cheeks. No matter how I mix it, the result is the same–natural looking flushed cheeks. Always a winner! I like it so much I even got their newest cheek palette–Cheek Parade!
You can get this at all Benefit Cosmetics stores.
LIPS
Ofra Lipliner in Babydoll and Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Manila
A nude lipstick that works for most skin tone? Yes, please! The newest shade of Ofra is Manila! Love it! Lined my lips with Ofra lipliner in Babydoll prior to applying Ofra Manila liquid lipstick.
Ofra Lipliner and Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Manila are available at Glamourbox.ph
Here’s how all the products look like on me. Up close using natural light. 🙂
Tried growing my brows to get that feathered look! This is probably the last photo of me with messy brows though ‘coz I had it groomed for a shoot which I’m excited to share soon! Heehee. Maybe I’ll grow it again next time? What do you think of this look? Kinda associated it with Manila Mood since Ofra’s newest liquid lipstick is aptly called Manila, a nude shade that works for Filipinas & this is a nude look. Well at least for me. Heehee. 🙂
What #FOTD (face of the day) look would you want me to try and do next? 🙂 Let me know! Hopefully I get to do this regularly so I can share what products I’ve been trying.
