2018. I can’t believe we’re entering the second quarter of 2018 already. So much happened last year that I am merely catching up. I never really post much about our family’s vacation on my personal Facebook more so here on my blog because I don’t feel the need to share it. But my blog has become a part of who I am, I thought I make it as a tool to look back on the years of my life.
As I check folders upon folders of photos on my drive, I’m taken back to last year when Gabbie turned seven. We asked her what she wanted for her 7th birthday and just like most girls this age, she wanted to go to Disneyland. So Mr. JG & I planned a quick escape to go to the happiest place on earth and celebrate our firstborn’s special day.
It was our first time to fly just us two because the boys booked a different flight. This maybe a hiccup on our trip but I see it as an opportunity for both Mr. JG & I to connect to our kids individually.
Quick breakfast before we boarded our plane. Ever since this trip, Mr. JG & I have tried to spend alone time with each of our kid. May it be running quick errands or spending a full day with them.
I can’t believe this was just a year ago. She’s grown up a little and has slowly been showing us what she’s interested in.
Our first solo plane ride. She was so excited to go back to Disneyland. The last time she was there she was I think just three years old.
I wish I could stop time and just let my kids stay this small/young.
And after a few hours these two were reunited again!
On our first day we immediately went to Ocean Park. It’s our kids’ first time there so we just followed their lead and go where they wanted to go.
Of course we didn’t miss on riding a cable car.
One of the rare times we managed to take a decent photo.
Hong Kong view never gets old.
We saw different kinds of animals at Ocean Park but we truly enjoyed watching the pandas most.

My cutie pie wanted to be in the photo too!
We spent our entire second day at the happiest place on earth–Hong Kong Disneyland. Look, my little cutie Ironman so excited to go back to Disneyland! The last time he was just one year and three months!
My modern day Princess Jasmine and my cutie Ironman.
I always forget to take photos whenever I’m spending time with my kids. I know it’s weird because taking photos is part of my job but whenever I hangout with my kids busting out my phone has been off limits because they want my full attention.
My little boy so happy! It’s like it’s his birthday and not his big sister’s who by the way doesn’t want much photos of her during this trip.
My only wish for this little girl is to have courage to pursue what she wants in her life. To make mistakes, to get hurt but to be resilient and to get up from all of it, stronger and better.
It was a tiring yet magical day to celebrate the birthday of my favourite girl in the world.
And on our third and final day we took it slow and just walked around our hotel before heading back home.
We stayed in Gold Coast. The same hotel where we stayed during our honeymoon. I can’t believe we’re back here after eight years and with two kids.
It still has the same gorgeous view.
Sometimes daily life gets the best of us and we tend to focus on our jobs and our roles that we forget to enjoy and to take it all in. I’m taking this opportunity to go back to days like this in my life where I am thankful and grateful for my little family. Here’s to making more and more memories and spending moments with the people who matter.
Happy Monday 🙂
