Eye Society, the country’s premier eyewear boutique and home to the finest selection of globally celebrated eyewear brands, launched the FW 2015 collection of some of the brands they carry – Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Versace, Prada, and Ray-Ban to name a few.
I, together with Angela Nepomuceno of Lush Angel got a peek at the lastest designer eyewear that has landed in Manila.
Michael Kors
Relaunching in Manila is the Michael Kors line of eyewear that mimic elements from the designer’s runway collections. Find styles such as oversized cat eyes to sleek and modern aviators that offer a timeless yet modern aesthetic.
Lovin’ the shape of this MK shades!
Dolce & Gabbana
Spain in Sicily Special Collection.
Highlighting Spanish presence in Sicily, this limited-edition collection by Dolce & Gabbana incorporates the design of the peineta comb into its eyewear. Each pair reinterprets Sicilian Baroque craftsmanship and delicate openwork carvings into its design, offering something beautiful and unique.
The simplicity of the rim is balanced by the intricateness of the temple.
This D&G from last season is still available. Now’s the right time to buy it so you’re summer ready!
If you want luxury then this pretty one’s for you! The intricate piece that is securely screwed from the back makes this D&G pair cost almost twice as much as the other pieces.
Miu Miu
Win and Noir Collections.
Fashion-forward women looking for something distinctive will gravitate towards Miu Miu’s Wink and Noir collections. Continually young, upbeat, and distinctively edgy, Noir offers a selection of round shapes while Wink goes off the beaten track in a geometers shape unseen anywhere else.
Hi there Wink! 😉
Lakas maka-Lady Gaga pero keri ko to!
Angela & I both sporting Miu Miu.
Burberry
The Gabardine Collection
Inspired by the timeless, craft and innovation of the brand’s Burberry trench coat fabric, Burberry Eyewear unveils its latest collection that embodies the effortless elegance and natural sophistication of the Burberry girl.
The trench coat motif cast in gold or twisted gabardine temples add classic sophistication to each piece.
Versace
Madonna for Versace Special Edition
Edgy elegance and audacious originality describe this new collection inspired by the Queen of Pop and fashion icon, Madonna, who models for the glamorous brand for a third consecutive decade. Find feminine power in this selection of sunglasses and frames almost as seductive as Her Majesty.
One of the models is so kulit behind me! Heehee. Ang ganda ng Versace!
Prada
Prada Raw Special Project
Inspired by a rerun to nature and showcasing the utmost craftsmanship, this limited-edition collection marries contemporary design with black walnut and ebony Malabar wood in either round or square shapes. With the natural irregularity of the wood’s veining, each pair becomes a unique creation.
Hand stitched leather makes it extra special!
Aaaah I’m such a fan of Prada as you can see on my OOTDs and their raw collection is growing on me.
Pairing it with Prada. 🙂
Ray-Ban
What Do You Believe In?
Rayban’s FW 2015 collection is all about #Campaign4Change. It showcases photos of real people and their Rayban stories.
Bronze Aviator
Always a winner. It’s a new Bronze Age over at Ray-Ban, as this copper-colorer alloy joins the other precious metals used for some of the brand’s frames. The Bronze Aviator is given a sleek update in subdued, chic Bronze frames and fresh flash lens hues.
Active
For adventurers, outdoorsmen, or sports enthusiasts, there’s a selection of high performance Active Lifestyle sunglasses for the ultimate in sun protection and style. These shades boast sleek, masculine shapes, materials made of file metal, rubberised nylon fiber or stainless steel for an all-day, comfortable fit and a variety of lens treatments including mirror, polarised and can even be fitted with prescription lenses. These Active Lifestyle sunglasses are ensured to stay on no matter how rough and tumble it might get out there.
Break The Mold
The Modern Round collection includes Round Metal, Round Camouflage, Round Fleck, Round Youngster and frames Round Highstreet. First launched in the 1960’s and inspired by the era’s counterculture, the Round was made even more famous by music legend John Lennon. This universally flattering shape now comes with new lens treatments and frame materials aside from the original metal.
Made For Dreaming
The quirky Opal Erika (Clubmaster in the photo not included) is a no-brainer for individuals looking for a splash of color in their eyewera. WIth its bright rubber or classic nylon fronts in semi-round frames, oversized round shape and soft keyhole bridge, its uniqueness adds a playful twist to any look.
Tried. Tested. True.
A vintage brand, Ray-Ban is as current today as much as it was in 1937. To celebrate, the tried, tested and true, the brand introduces its Distressed Special Edition line of eyewear for those who love having a sense of history with their belongings. The Iconic Aviators and Wayfarers go through a new process to make them appear as if they were passed down from generations. Treated with a special “worn effect” of special markings, each pair of Aviator Distressed and Original Wayferer Distressed becomes a unique expression style.
Look closely, vintage feels for these Aviator Distressed. Reminds me of the pair of Ray-Bans my grandfather used to own.
Wood Clubmaster
For the first time ever, the timeless icon Clubmaster is treated with this simple material for a classic yet modern look. It comes in three varieties: Walnut, Maple, or Cherry, each with different colored rubber inside. The frames are treated then lined for the utmost in comfort, flexibility and durability.
Angela & I had so much fun trying out different pairs! I can’t wait to show you guys what I got. 😀
