For more than 20 years, Canmake Tokyo, a brand born in Japan has been loved not only by make up aficionados but also by women in all ages and walks of life. Luckily, Canmake is now available here in Manila and I got to know the brand and their latest products during their exclusive event held last February 13, 2014.
It was an intimate affair that involved all things kawaii.
Kaori Anzai, Assistant Manager, Global Overseas Sales of Canmake Tokyo confessed that she is a skin care fanatic and have revealed that she’s in her 40s. Her secret? A good skin care regimen accompanied by make up products that have natural ingredients which Canmake products offer.
Sachie Ogawa, President and CEO of Canmake PH. She’s the woman responsible for bringing Canmake here in the Philippines. Sachie believes that the Filipinos are ready for the Japanese way of make-up and would like to influence how Filipinas view beauty, one make-up brush at a time.
Bea Almeda, Canmake Chief Make Up Artist. As a professional make-up artist, Bea has been instrumental in beautifying a lot of women in the Metro. She also did a quick demo on how to achieve kawaii make up by using some of Canmake’s key products.

What I like about Canmake, aside from its kawaii packaging is that it’s affordable! Most of the products are priced under Php 1,000 making it budget-friendly. Now here’s a quick look at some of Canmake most coveted products.
Color Change Eyebrow Php 410. For those who have light colored hair or would just want to tame their dark eyebrows for a softer face, this one’s for you. I actually tried it on my brows and I like how it glides easily and blends well with just one swipe.
Lasting Multi-Eyebase WP Php 390. I don’t really put make up base but then make up artists who do my make up for shoots use such product and true enough my make up lasts longer especially my eyeshadow and eye liner. For someone like me who loves using liquid eyeliners, one eye rub is all it takes to remove a perfect cat eye, so an eyebase is just what I need as it ensures long-eating eye make up.
Hyperslim Gel Eyeliner Php 450. This gel type waterproof eyeliner is creamy in texture which you can use in creating tantalizing cat’s eye.
Quick Easy Eyeliner Php 390. This felt-tip eyeliner is perfect for beginners as one application is all you need. It’s also smudge-free so it stays longer, no need for touch ups.
