So here’s a look at my new do. It has been a tradition of mine to cut my hair short when I’m pregnant. Aside from the fact that I’m very, very lazy during the first few months or is it during the entire pregnancy? I also have falling hair and it’s worse when I’m pregnant. Sad I know but it’s actually a good thing. It’s an opportunity to cut my hair short, let go of the old, dry and damaged hair.
I know our hair is our crowning glory and it is a big deal especially for girls to sport long hair. Mainly because most guys prefer girls who have long, soft, silky hair. Of course we feel most feminine and pretty when we have long hair, aminin! But I also believe that change is always good, it may not seem so at first but eventually when you come to realize it really is. I also think that sporting short hair is a sign of empowerment. Not a lot of girls dare to have their hair cut short, some would even cry and get depressed over the act of having their hair cut. I was once like that, I was too attached with my hair that I felt like it consumed me (no joke) until I learned to let go and to have fun. It’s never too early nor too late to experiment with your style and look. Believe me, it can be a refreshing thing to do.
Check out my short hair last 2007.
Fast-forward to 2009 when I got pregnant I had my hair cut again.
Again, fast forward to 2012 and pregnant with my second child. I decided to sport the short hair once again.
I admit I do miss the occasional flipping of my long hair but I don’t regret chopping it off. Reinventing is one of the things that I can say is constant in my life. I don’t settle to be ordinary nor boring. Life is too short to live with what ifs and regrets so if you’ve been dreaming or even thinking about cutting your hair, coloring, perming or rebonding it I say take the leap and go for it! After all, if you don’t like your new hair you can easily buy hair extensions to bring your long hair back. Which reminds me, I have a set of hair extensions I have yet and been meaning to try, will let you know how I wear it one of these days (if I get the energy to make an effort of wearing it) but for now, I’m really enjoying my new bob.
That’s all!

Yes, you can do it! Yun lang patience is a virtue when it comes to growing your hair long. Oh I remember our Boracay days, your dreadlocks rock! 😉

bagay din naman sayo e! 🙂 Before, I always have short hair (I don’t have the patience e, 🙂 ) But a year ago, I’m keeping it long coz I want to try it for a change. Now that I got the long hair, I’ve been thinking of having it cut again for this summer ever since I saw Charlene Gonzales’ new do! It is so pretty! Unfortunately, my sister is getting married on April so maybe I’ll wait after the wedding … I’m so fickle minded with regards to hair! 🙂

I know how that feels like! We tend to get bored with our hair but then think twice about doing something about it. Yes, my mom told me if I wanted to try out Charlene G’s hair, I said I would love to but that hair would work better if it had color & highlights which I can’t have since I’m pregnant. 🙂

Love it! =) Wish I can wear my hair shorter! I know being ummm “healthy” doesn’t mean I can’t wear it shorter. . . guess I have to look for a really good stylist first! teehee =)

Hi Dhanyu! Thank you for reading. Naku don’t fret, short hair is sexy! Enjoy styling it while it’s short coz when it grows back, ma-mimiss mo din mag sport ng short hair 🙂 Happy 9 months to your baby! 🙂
