You know you’re becoming a domesticated diva when your window shopping priorities change. While I still love looking at window displays of shoes, bags and other apparel stores, I am more drawn appreciating home stores and the way their windows are styled. Unconsciously, Mr. GJG & I have imagined what our future home would look like. Our future house may be far fetch as of present because we have no plans of moving out of our cozy apartment, but still we indulge on window shopping for furnitures and home decors.
I had a quick trip to Century City Mall with Tin aka Manila Fashion Observer a few weeks ago. Her only agenda was to visit Blue Carreon Home as she was eyeing a piece from the fancy home store.
I am quite familiar with Blue Carreon, he’s a men’s fashion and lifestyle writer based in Hong Kong who travels in between New York and Manila. I’ve seen his eccentricity when it comes to fashion and style, now he shows off his creative side as he ventures into the world of interior design and decor.
Blue Carreon’s window display entices you to look inside as it presents a handful of key pieces that you can incorporate in your home.
What caught my eye was the gold plated rack, bar cart and side tables. The simplicity of the design exudes elegance without too much flair. Our home now is very modern minimalist. Stucutred furnitures exemplified even more by the drastic cuts and corners of our apartment layout. We’ve always been a fan of this kind of design, taking cues from Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne’s bachelor pad. But looking at the pieces from Blue Carreon made me want our future house to be a mix of modern minimalist and modern romantic.
Modern Minimalist, kinda what our apartment looks like now.
Modern romantic, kinda what I want our future house to be.
Now I just realize how hard it would be to build a home when we want two different designs. Maybe try to do a cohesive mix of both aesthetics? But then again that’ll be years from now, so I’ll worry then!
The treasure that’s waiting inside Blue Carreon Home. I’ll let the photos do the talking.
I love this set! I am imagining this as my future work station.
I want this wishbone paperweight.
Never liked ants until I saw these not-so-small bunch!
Aaaaah, the bar cart of my dreams! Mimosa? Martini anyone? How about coffee or tea? 😉
A stingray tray makes everything more chic.
While Tin was busy purchasing a Blue Carreon piece, I was busy semi-believing Oscar Wilde.
Blue Carreon is one of the few home stores sprouting in Manila that elevates interior designing to a whole new level. It certainly has an array of things that can make your home Apartment Therapy worthy.
