As you all know by now (if you’re following my blog for quite some time), I love books. I just can’t let go of them not only because part of me is old fashioned but books are love. I have come to love books and reading when I was a kid but the kind of books I want back then would have to have a mysterious plot or a sweet story like R.L. Stine and Sweet Valley High, respectively (I suddenly feel very nostalgic! LOL). Now that I am older, I’m more fond of books that engage my mind to think, my imagination to rule and my creativity to flourish. Aaaah books! I can never get used to audio books or even ebooks simply because I still find the smell of the good ol’ books (old and new) enticing, plus I never want to miss experiencing “page turner” moments. *winks*
So I want to share with you all my current favorite book. Thanks to My Mom-Friday for sharing, or else I would’ve missed one great book! Ladies, beckies and gentlemen, I give you Before Ever After.

Check out the virtual tour too.

The virtual tour makes me want to go backpacking in Europe. *sighs* Well, if you don’t have the luxury of time & funds to travel like I do, I suggest you get and read the book instead.
The moment I got hold of the book I immediately tweeted the author Samantha Sotto and kept on mentioning the book in my tweets.
I wouldn’t bore you with the details & the plot of the story. As you’ve seen, the trailer is enough to keep you intrigued. But just because, I want to share with you my two cents on Before Ever After. As I’ve said in one of my tweets, I’m not a fan of love stories at least reading them (yes, I didn’t read Nicholas Sparks’ The Notebook but I loved the movie!). But for this book, there was an exemption. It has the kind of kilig (shudder) that is beyond what is superficial, you know not the vampire-mortal girl-werewolf kind of love (although that’s stimulatingly good kind of kilig too). This book has a deeper kind of love, way more than the feel-good kind we often feel when reading or watching love stories, especially the whole boy-meets girl-both-falls-madly-in-love-with-each-other-and-they-live-happily-ever-after. This one is definitely an unusual love story but in a very good way. Well, the title of the book is a dead giveaway anyway. *LOL*
It was too good that I tried not to finish it within a week. As I was nearing towards the end, I often catch myself stopping for every page turned, patiently waiting for another evening to come. My anticipation was like of how I save up a delicious slice of cake. Cautious and aware of the consequence that every bite I take will lead me to a blissful satisfaction yet still wishing there’s more. The book was wonderfully & greatly written. Not much flamboyant words were used (thank God) and the manner of how the author played with words really got me, just witty.
So, I hope you guys and fellow bookworms get to check out and read Before Ever After. Aside from the fact that the author is Filipino (Pinoy pride!), the book is just something you wouldn’t want to miss. Can’t wait for Samantha’s second book! To end this post I leave you with one of my favorite excerpts from the book.
“Life is a barter of choices and consequences. Nothing you have is without a price paid by yourself or someone else. Some days you will get more than what you paid for and on others you will pay more than what you should.”

That’s all!
Happy Weekend Everyone!
Spreading good vibes to you all!

What a great story diba?! :)))
And I like Robert Downey too….but on top of my list is Hugh Jackman for Max, and maybe Kate Beckinsale as Shelley. Rachel McAdams is a great choice too!
