After hearing tons of good reviews from beauty blogger friends, I finally gave in and bought myself a K-Palette Eyebrow Liner. I was quite giddy upon purchasing it because as you all know, I’m obsessed with having perfect shaped & colored eyebrows.
K-Palette, the number one brand in Japan is now available here in Manila and Beauty Bar is the exclusive distributor. Their products range from eyeliner, concealers and the coveted eyebrow liner.
K-Palette Eyebrow Liner P1,050.
I bought shade no. 2 because it looks more natural on me and matches my raven hair, while shade no. 1 is more on the brownish red color.
The double ended tip has a liner brush and a powder sponge. The liner brush tints and fills the gaps of your eyebrows, it glides effortlessly with minimum application.
The powder tip shades and gives the eyebrows a soft natural look.
Here’s the actual product applied on my hand, the liner at the top and the powder at the bottom. Shade no. 2 is more on the brownish gray side, that’s how I see it.
Here’s a look at how I used K-Palette Eyebrow Liner. Pardon the photos, this is actually the first time I’m taking photos of myself while doing my make up! :p
Bare face. Bare eyebrow. Look at the empty spaces on my eyebrow that needs filling.
I first applied the liquid eyebrow to fill in the gaps in between. Look at how natural it blends with my real hair.
Then I applied the powder to shade and fill in the entire eyebrow. It looks much more natural don’t you think?
Spot the difference. Eyebrow on the right with K-Palette while the left eyebrow is bare. I like that it looks natural and close to the shade of my hair.
So I tried and tested it for a day to see if it lasts as long as twenty four hours, I did apply it at eight in the morning.
And after eighteen hours amazingly nothing has changed, my eyebrows still looked nice and defined. I took this picture past one in the morning, I think my eyebrows are the only thing I’m wearing on my face. No more lipstick, blush and only a little eyeliner left.
It is indeed smudge proof and water resistant but when I removed my make up and washed my face with water and soap it was easy to remove.
THE VERDICT:
Application: 3 clovers
It’ll take some getting used to when it comes to filling in your eyebrows, it’s as if you’re drawing hair one at a time especially if you’re used to using eyebrow pencil to fill in the gaps. But I guess that’s what the powder tip is for, to help fill and shade your eyebrows easily.
Color & variety: 3 clovers
I wish there were more than two shades to choose from. Although it suits my hair color just fine, if I change my hair color to a lighter tone then I might have a hard time finding a suitable shade to match.
Overall: 3.5 clovers
The product is as good as it claims to be. It has also been the closest to natural when it comes to eyebrow make up that I’ve tried. Although some may find it pricey but with only a few strokes, I guess it’ll last longer and can be considered worth it. Overall, I loved it and love using it and would recommend it to friends who want natural looking brows.
K-Palette is available at all Beauty Bar stores, follow them on Twitter.
