Going green can sometimes be overwhelming. There is so much to do; we often don’t know where to start. But when it comes to being eco chic every step counts no matter how small, plus once you start the rest gets easier. I have to admit my home is not a fully green home but I try to do better and better. So far I limit my shopping by buying only what my family & I need. Most of Gabbie’s clothes were bought even before she turned 1 year old, I let her use it as a dress when she was younger and now she still uses them as a top while half of her clothes are hand me downs from her cousins. As for me, you all know I use second hand clothes which I thrift and buy online. We reuse paper, glass and plastic containers as much as we can and mostly buy products in bulk or big sizes to lessen the use of containers. There are many areas that I confess to failing miserably at – I use conventional cleaning products, I never cloth diapered Gabbie, nor do I always use reusable shopping bags whenever I do the grocery but like I said, a small step can go a long way.

My hubby and I go gaga over being green by using cloth diapers on our little kiddo. It was a struggle at first but we both got used to the frequent changing and laundering. So far, it’s been more than two months since we started CD-ing and I think we’ll be doing this for a little longer until our mini man is ready to potty-train. It feels great knowing we save our purses from spending on disposables which is really costly in the long run but more importantly, we also help save Mother Earth from all the diaper-filled landfills. Another green way that we also practice is bringing our own shopping bags when we go out. I make sure I always bring with me a foldable cloth-bag in case we thought of buying something. I know these things might sound way too small compared to what full-time green moms do, but it’s a step closer to saving nature. 🙂

i used cloth diapers for my son when he was still a baby. at home, we segregate our garbage. cans, plastic bottles go to a sack and can be sold at the nearby junk shop. leftovers go to a pot and covered with soil. when i go to the wet market, i bring my own plastic bag. for groceries, i use cloth bag. in the office naman, we practice na rin garbage segregation and we use the back of a used bond paper for drafting docs. there are a lot of ways to be go green, just think of our Mother Earth and she will be very grateful for every little way that we do for her.

i would truly love to be a green mom. unfortunately going green means spending more at first and since i’ve just been hired, i simply can’t afford all the makings of going green 🙁 but i’m proud to say that i breastfeed my 1 year old baby girl 100% and we recycle religiously 🙂 from our garbage, we segregate; to our used plastic bottles, containers, etc. to our papers 🙂 hope i can win this cloth diaper so i can start to be a green mom 🙂

I am an avid fan of Natural & Organic products, so were using Human Nature & BY Nature Handmade Soaps at home. : ) Our baby girl is using Cloth Diaper. Just bought recently 2pcs Charlie Banana Cloth Diaper from Caleb’s Closet (add up to my collection). My Hub and I are bringing Reusable Bags everytime we go to the wet market. Also when we do shopping of groceries and personal stuff. I love collecting items like cans and glass jar to store some food. (My friends called me Basurera for that). I bought big sizes of items to minimize trash. We collect plastic containers that can be sold in the junk shop. I keep things which I believe I can use in the future. We should all be doing our part in saving the environment that’s why I am also trying my best in being a green mom. I make sure to bring eco bags whenever I go grocery shopping. We also segregate our trash like papers/boxes, cans, bottles and bring them to junk shops. I also reuse items and turn trash into something useful. My son and I bond over making artwork or toys using old boxes, styrofoam, etc. That way I also influence him into being green. =)
How green am I? I walk and use public transpo so as not to pollute our air more by bringing my own car. I buy secondhand clothes, books, electronics, etc instead of buying new ones since my college days. My 2 kids are cloth diapered, breastfed (the eldest is still at it, 2yrs+ old) and eat fruits + veggies from our garden 🙂 Their toys are mostly secondhand too or carton boxes / safe plastic containers that are made into toys. And since we live in Davao City, we are required to segregate our garbage (or face stiff penalty) + use recyclable bags + no smoking in enclosed spaces. So yeah, I pretty much live the green mom life, hehe!
Since I became a mom, I want to be natural. I used herbal plants instead of medically treated medicines. I bravely shift from disposable diapers to cloth diaper to help save the environment. We also recyle and reuse plastics, and of course reduce them buy using eco bags when going to market or grocery.

I bring my own bag instead of using a plastic bag whenever I go shopping. When a store does give me a plastic bag we reuse it as a garbage can liner. When I got pregnant, I also started using biodegradable cleaners and toiletries like Messy Bessy and Human Nature. I also started accepting hand me downs for my daughter and bought her a few pocket diapers.

I never leave the house without an eco bag. I live in Muntilupa where using plastic is prohibited. And I believed we are the first to implement this. I always recycle grocery plastic bags into garbage bags.

I love this washable cloth diaper because it’s eco- friendly and money saving.I breastfed my first baby for 2 years and I still breastfed my new baby boy. It’s for their health and money saving also.I also used herbal medicine for my daughter when she have a cough.Hope I win this item I really love it!
I’ll be giving birth in November and I’ve been buying cloth diapers and inserts for my little one. Not only will I cut my disposable diaper budget, I get to save the environment as well!

When i became a full time Mom I am an advocate of cloth diaper, i didnt depend on those disposable diapers that my baby would wear 24/7. I recycle my brothers baby clothes and used it with my son.

what makes you a green mom? i replace paper cups and plates into washable reusable cups and plates when there’s a small gathering/party in our house. it saves the trees & d environment.
With my own little way, I try my best to avoid the use of plastic! Ah so much plastic nowadays and I always make sure I bring my huge bag when I am out to the market to buy veggies and food for the family. For parties, we also avoid using anything disposable as to where I am, garbage has been the major headache of the city. It wouldn’t also help if one becomes a vegetarian or vegan too. 🙂
We use cloth diaper at home and use natural products as well. We also segregate waste at home. 🙂
