Gabbie who was once attached to her binky now has a new security item. Oh on a side note, she has doubled her milk intake as well as food intake ever since she let go of her binky. I guess she’s naturally a comfort pacifier kind of kid. She’ll eat when she’s hungry, when she’s watching her favorite show, when she’s playing or even when she’s bored. Anyway back to her new security item, I remember her being fond of Elmo and that she likes everything Elmo, we even bought her a stuffed toy (although technically she’s not allowed to since she has asthma), her Elmo biscuits, her matching set of utensil, bowl & plate (hmm maybe I should write a separate post about Elmo). She still likes Elmo but then lately we’ve noticed her fondness with penguins.
It immediately reminded me of Rone’s Earthling who’s a penguin fanatic. I guess Gabbie’s fascination with penguins started when she saw the movie Happy Feet,amused with how the penguins acted, to our surprise she sang and danced along with them. Soon after she saw a real live one in November of last year at Manila Ocean Park.
So one grocery day of December last year, we went to Puregold and Gabbie saw a stack full of plushed toys in different shapes and sizes. We were showing her thematic ones such as the reindeer and the Santa but to our surprise she kept on holding the penguin. So we let her knowing that she’ll let go of it come check out time. Apparently she didn’t and that we were forced to take home an extra passenger for P150.

It was love at first sight for the two but being a the kid that she is, I noticed soon after she got hold of Penguin, Gabbie took her for granted, eventually penguin was piled up alongside Elmo and the rest of her toys.
Until after a month, we noticed she’s been carrying Penguin with her mostly during sleep time at night.
Few days before Christmas of 2011, Penguin makes a cameo.
Now whenever she sees a penguin, she immediately stops and adores it for a good few seconds.
After more than two months of bidding goodbye to her binky. She now totes around with Que-Que (that’s how G pronounces Penguin- Quenquin)
As you can see, Que-que made a cameo in one of Gabbie’s outfitey post.
This time she just doesn’t want to let go of Que-que.

Sorry but I really find Gabbie’s penguin walk adorbs (adorable), actually she’s not even all-out in doing so I think she’s a lil’ bit conscious whenever I take a video of her more than a photo.
