Fish And Boots

Since Manila Ocean Park opened, we haven’t been able to visit it up until this Novemember during our third year wedding anniversary. If I had known that we were bound to explore the world of water and say hello to our fishy friends I would’ve worn a more casual/comfortable outfitey.

Nevertheless here’s a look at what happened that day.

Warning: photo heavy post.

Gabbie playing the third wheel was the giddiest that day.

They charge kids based on height not on age, since Gabbie's more than 2 1/2 feet, we had to buy her own ticket.

It was a weekday so there were only a few people which is actually nice, felt like we were tourist. Since it was already late in the afternoon we’ve agreed to select the area where we want to go and they are the Oceanarium and the Trails to Antarctica. We paid P600/per person for the bundle price.

first stop: Antarctica eeerrr I mean penguins!

smile for the penguins!

I'm guessing they're partners?

cutie patootie!

can you find all the things on the checklist?

it's like the Hidden Mystery game!

No ants in Antartica?! I wanna live there!

Facts about Penguins

Slide O' Fun was indeed fun!

Slide O’ Fun is free to enjoy once you purchase a ticket for Trails to Antartica. Too bad we had no picture riding it, Gabbie was first hesitant but eventually agreed to it when she saw how fun it was.

Time to step inside the giant freezer eerrr I mean snow village!getting our jackets

A waiver is needed for those wearing heels *ahem*, slippers or any kind of open shoes. They also need to make you sign on a waiver for kids below 2 years old (its weird that they had to do that but they charge same price ticket for kids above 2 feet). So in my case, I signed twice. One for the heels and one for Gabbie. I was first hesitant to let Gabbie inside the snow village, although she loves anything cold (except for her bath water) I was really expecting it to be super cold inside since we were briefed that the temperature was around 15 degrees celsius.

Gabbie the eskimo

No snow but it's cold. The temperature was manageable.

Spot the happy feet penguin.

Hello Santa!

Even if I'm wearing 5 inch booties I managed to stand still for a photo op! LOL

Gabbie the driver.

It’s lovely that there’s a real jeepney inside Manila Ocean Park’s atrium. I just wish they have a jeepney shuttle service that’s free for their visitors. They can pick up or drop them off at MOA or any other tourist spot within Manila.

dirty ice cream!

Also, it would’ve been great if they’d showcase Filipino food. There’s a food stall area in the first level (sorry wasn’t able to take pictures) along with tiangge like stalls but it would be nice if there’s food stalls for our famous balut, taho, isaw and other Filipino food that people have come to love.

An amusement/play area for kids

Trick Art,we weren't able to explore though.

Now off to see the fishes!

Gabbie's very keen on how the fishes swim.

There's a crocodile but Gabbie refers to it as an alligator.

the lovely view.

Go!

As you can see my outfitey doesn’t really fit into the whole “touring” of the sea. Five inch boots that I managed to walk on ice without breaking a bone was an experience. I tell you fish and boots don’t go well together. *winks*

For more information you can check out Manila Ocean Park‘s website.

Hope you had fun”touring” with us through this post *took me quite a while & my entire bandwidth to upload them* heehee.

That’s all!

Have a great Tuesday!

Don’t forget two more days to join my BPI Globe Tattoo stick giveaway!
