With just four more days to go before Christmas, I still have a lot of things to do- check my list (twice), wrap the gifts and condition myself to feel the Christmas spirit. Sorry, but with the tragedy in Mindanao and my mood swings (yes, I really blame PMS for this), I really need a pick-me upper.
So what better way to feel a wee bit good than to make a wish list? Yikes, couldn’t really remember when was the last time I made a list of things I want. As in really, really want. Oooops now I remember, I wrote this list five months ago *heehee*. Well, two of the things I was lusting after before are still part of my wish list this Christmas.
Here’s my wish list as of today:
1. Kitchen Aid Mixer in tangerine, green apple or persimmon.
I’m no expert in cooking nor baking but I know I have it in me- thanks to my mom who is very fond (of) and really great at cooking and baking. I’ve been obsessing about kitchen appliances and stuff for a few months now and every time I’m at the mall I get all giddy even just by looking at lovely displays of kitchenwares. Having this mixer could help me get my knack for baking.
2. Jeffrey Campbell Lita
Ah, the one shoe I’ve been obsessing the past months. Lyn from SM Fashion Forum texted me last weekend, informing me that a new batch of Jeffrey Campbell shoes had arrived one of which is the Lita shoes in black (leather) and royal blue (suede). I went to SM Megamall over the weekend to check and fell in love with the black Lita but I was hoping they’ll have it in yellow mustard (right topmost in the photo) So I was half-hearted and thank God the impulsive buyer in me was away from a vacation so I was able to say no to the attempt of purchasing it. Some times, it really pays to wait for the right time to buy something you really, really want- still keeping my fingers crossed that I find the perfect JC Lita for myself.
3. A set of South Sea Pearls.
I’ve always been a pearl kind of girl and I think having a nice set is a staple in every woman’s jewelry box. I’ve been eyeing a 13-15 mm set of south sea pearls preferably the white or golden pearls. A stud earring and a simple pendant will do but if budget permits I would love to have a lovely pearl strand necklace like in the picture.
4. A one carat diamond stud earrings.
I’m not into collecting jewelries but now that I’m a mom I’ve started to appreciate them. A one carat diamond stud earrings would be a perfect pair. Simple yet elegant and classy.
5. A shopping spree for Gabbie & the husband.
Call it weird or whatever but ever since we moved to our new place and I have discover Ebay as a haven for anything unique and cheap, I have not been a fan of shopping for myself anymore (well except for some items I can’t afford paying cash-off to the mall for an installment plan *heehee). Maybe because I have different priorities now and it also helped that we have limited space thus I have to be more careful on what I must buy. Also, if it is something that can last beyond the trends and would later become closet staples, that I’d definitely buy. But this is not the case for my husband and daughter, therefore a decent shopping is suitable for them and of course since they’re the loves of my life only the best should be given to them. Agree? Agree.
More than the material things I want this Christmas, I just want to have a peaceful celebration of the holiday and to be surrounded by my loved ones. Sure I can enumerate more than five things I want, believe me it can even reach up to one hundred things but with what is happening around the world lately, I just wish for a better future not just for me, my family and kid/s but also for everyone who’s undergoing tough times.
So there you have it my Christmas Wish List for 2011. But wait, one of these items has already been granted. Can you guess what? I’m gonna let you guess as I reveal it after Christmas *giddy mode ON*. For now, I’m off to do part 3 of our Christmas shopping.
What’s on your Christmas list?
