I guested on Janice Villanueva’s podcast called You The Mom last March and it felt so familiar talking to her. The podcast felt like we were just catching up with each others lives and we can relate so much in many ways- from living in another country to raising teens. And guesting on the podcast made me comfortable with being vulnerable and talking about things I don’t normally talk about.
We were just flowing with thoughts and ideas the show ran for 60 minutes. Just to give you an idea, here’s a look at what I
- Life in Dubai and how convenient living here is.
- Slow living in a first world country.
- Why I do not post sponsored content as much as I used to.
- Familiarity of past routines & creating new habits.
- Relationship with my teen & tween.
- Mindful consumption & mindset shift.
- How I prioritize fitness & health the past two years.
- Living my dream and my goals.
But if there’s one thing I’d like to share here that I’ve shared on the podcast that I think everyone will benefit from:
you have to believe in yourself
be comfortable in discomfort
choose your hard
These things have helped me anchor on my goals & what I want to achieve for myself. It’s also the same lines I tell my children whenever they feel stuck or when they find something challenging.
Also just want to share that the reason I don’t really create a lot of content here on the blog and on my social media is because I’ve been living offline more that being online. I’ve finally created and implemented boundaries to keep me grounded, be present and enjoy our time here in Dubai. Also, since the pandemic happened I’ve been more eager to optimize my health above everything else. I’ve been seeing a lot of doctors here and have learned of pre-existing conditions (will share more on another post). I’m still doing a few tests to learn more about my health and what I can do to live my best life by being healthy & well. Slowly, steadily getting my writing mojo and creativity back so expect more frequent posts in the coming weeks– sharing more of our Dubai life (places to see, visit, eat, etc) since I do get DMs regarding this. Thanks for sticking with me over these years and I hope you find my podcast guesting helpful in any way.
