Ever since I’ve chosen to eat healthier and more consciously, I’ve been more selective about what I prepare for myself and my family. For example, I never thought I’d like milk as much as I do right now. Good thing there’s NESTLE NON-FAT MILK to provide my daily serving of milk. Not only does it aid in giving me the daily calcium that I need, it also helps me manage my weight, since each serving has a 90-calorie count and only 0.1% fat.
While I find it easy to veer away from unhealthy food, I admit I have a hard time when it comes to drinks and desserts, since I like them creamy and full of flavor! As I was searching for healthier alternatives, I found easy-to-do smoothie recipes that I can make with NESTLE NON-FAT MILK.
For a mom of two who has limited time, this is something I can even prepare with my lil’ Ms. GJG! These recipes usually take about only 15 minutes to prepare. Plus, it only uses one home appliance (a blender) and the ingredients can be easily found in one’s pantry or neighborhood supermarket.
When I asked lil’ Ms. GJG what smoothie she wants to make with me, she replied “Mom, let’s make Mango Choco Banana!”
The ingredients:
1 piece ripe banana (lacatan)
1 slice of mango (a halve)
1 cup Nestle Non-Fat Milk
1/2 cup Milo
2 tablespoons brown sugar (muscovado)
1 cup ice
The procedure:
Put everything in a blender. Blend until the ingredients are smooth, creamy, and mixed well.
Transfer to a glass and serve. You can opt to top it with Milo or chia seeds.
I love how simple and easy it is to make 🙂

VANILLA AND CARDAMON ARROZ CON LECHE
INGREDIENTS:
1 litre Nestle Non-FatMilk
100 g arborio rice
50g light muscovado sugar
1 vanilla pod seeds (scraped)
1 cinnamon stick
4 cardamon pods, cracked
zest of 1/2 lemon
a pinch of salt
PROCEDURE:
1 Preheat the oven to 160c/325F/ gas mark 3. Combine all the ingredients in a baking dish and cover them with baking parchment and then foil.
2 Bake 1 hour. Remove the foil and parchment, stir and bake for an additional 15-30 minutes or until thick and creamy. This will depend of the side of the dish you are using, but remember that arroz con leche will thicken as it sits. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

ROAST PORK IN MILK
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 Kg pork loin bone loosend and re-tied, liver removed
50g butter
3 tbsp. Olive oil
700 ml Nestle Non-Fat Milk
salt
PROCEDURE:
1 Season the outside of the pork w/ a little salt
2 Heat the butter and oil in a medium heat. Lower pork into the pan and crisp the skin to a rich golden colour turning it every few minutes.
3 Reduce the heat slightly and add the milkvery slowly so that it does’ nt bubble. Gradually bri g it up to a simmer and put a lid on the pan. Cook for 2 hours.
4 Once cooked, transfer the meat to a chopping board and let it rest for 5 minutes. Cover with foil. Skim off some of the fat from the juices, then whisk over the heat to break up the milk a little. Carve the meat, place the sliceson a hot plate, pour the sauce over, and serve.

APPLE PANCAKE W/ OAT& MILK
INGREDIENTS:
2 Cooking apples
1 lemon
3 eggs
250g flour
50g sugar
1/2 litre Nestle Non-Fat Milk
1 tsp. baking powder
8g vanilla flavoured sugar
1 tablespoon oil

PROCEDURE:
Prepare the pancake mixture.
1 Mix the flour, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and baking powder. Make a well and breaks the eggs into it, then mix.Next add the Nestle Non-Fat Milk and oil until themixture becomes smooth (if necessary use blender)
Set aside for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel the apples, remove the core and pips , and thinly slice them.
2Heat the frying pan. Pour in small ladlefuls of the mixture, cover with slices of apple and cook for 1 min.
Turn the pancakes over and cook the other side for 1 min. And a half minutes.
3 Continue until you’ve used all the mixture. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the pancakes when just before serving.

SAVOURY MINI CROISSANTS
INGREDIENTS:
1pack flacky pastry
30g ham
30g cheese
1 egg yolk
3 tbsp. Nestle Non-Fat Milk
METHOD
Preheat oven to 200 degrees celcius ( 400 F)
Roll pastry out and cut into 6 rectangles. Cut each rectangle diagonally half, to make 12 triangles.
Cut both the meat and cheese into small pieces, then arrange on half of the triangles
Roll each triangle in on itself from the middle, to make a croisant shape.
Cover an oven tray with greasproof paper and arrange croissants on top.
Brush each croissant with beaten eggyolk and a llttle milk to glaze.
Put in middle of oven and cook for 12 minutes.

CARAMEL AND ALMOND MILK FLAN
INGREDIENTS:
3 eggs
500 ml Nestle Non-Fat Milk
100g+ 50g sugar
a few drops of bitter almond extract
PROCEDURE
Whip the eggs, 100g of sugar, almond extract and Nestle Non-Fat Milk
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius ( Gas mark 6.)
Make caramel saucepan using the 50g of remaining sugar. Once the sugar start to melt, shake the pan
then wait until about a quarter of the sugar are melted before stirring.
Divide between 4 ramekins and pour the cream over the top.
Place the oven and leave to cook for 45 minutes in a bain-marie, until the flans are cooked but still slightly soft in the middle. Leave to cool before taking out of the ramekins.

RASPBERRY RICE MILK SMOOTHIE DELIGHT
INGREDIENTS:
200 ml Nestle Non-Fat Milk
1/2 cup of rice ( not cooked)
1 handful of frozen raspberries
1 banana (lakatan)
A few drops of lemon juices
PROCEDURE
Peel the banana and cut into slices, Mix the raspberries, banana and lemon juice in a blender.
Mix until you obtain a puree, then add the rice (not cook) and Nestle Non- Fat Milk.
Mix until the mixture becomes frothy.
Serve chilled.

SHRIMP CON QUESO
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. Shrimp
1 chopped celery
1 stick butter
1 chopped green onion ( with tops )
1 diced bell pepper
1/2 to 1 can tomatoes and green chilies
16 oz. pKg. velveeta cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 litre of Nestle Non-Fat Milk
1 can cream celery soup
PROCEDURE:
Boil shrimp in salt water. Set aside
Saute celery, onion, bell pepper in butter
Drain and add remaining ingredients.
Cook over low heat until cheese is melted and all ingredients is blended.
Add shrimp five minutes before serving.
Serve hot as a dip or over rice as a main dish.

I also use Nestle Non Fat Milk for Nachos Supreme Dip. It is our favorite snack while watching TV or merienda.
Ingredients.
1 pack of Yellow Corn Nachos
1 med size white onion
2 med size tomatoes
1/4 lean ground beef
salt
pepper
For the dip:
1 cup grated cheese
250ml Nestle Non Fat Milk
Iodized Salt to taste
Procedure:
1. Dice onions and tomatoes
2. Cook ground beef
a. Saute onions until done
b. Add ground beef
c. Season with salt and pepper
d. Make sure that beef is cooked well.
e. Set aside.
4. Prepare the dip.
a. Heat pan in a very low fire
b. Add Nestle Non Fat Milk
c. Slowly add the grated cheese while constantly mixing it.
d. Continue mixing until sauce thickens.
5. Can be served mixed all together or dips and garnishing served separately.
I hope you understand my recipe. Never tried writing it but came up with it through trial and error. Hehehe!

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup water
1 green tea bag
2 tsp. honey
1 1/2 c frozen blueberries

1/2 cup soy milk

PROCEDURE:
1. MICROWAVE water on high until steaming hot in a small bowl. Add tea bag and allow to brew 3 minutes. Remove tea bag. Stir honey into tea until it dissolves.
2. COMBINE, berries, banana, soy milk, nestle non-fat milk in a blender with ice crush
3. ADD, tea to blender. Blend ingredients on ice crush on highest setting until smooth. ( Some blender may require additional water to process the mixture).

OVERNIGHT OATS
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup uncooked old fashioned rolled oats
1/3 cup nestle non fat milk
1/4 cup low-fat Greek yogurt (or fruit yogurt of your choice)
1-1/2 teaspoons dried chia seeds
1 teaspoon honey, optional
1/4 cup diced mango (approx. half of a small mango) (or any fruit of your choice)
THE BASIC PROCEDURE
– Mix old fashioned rolled oats (not instant or quick)
– Add Greek yogurt (regular yogurt is thinner; if you use it, you’ll need to reduce the amount of milk);
– Add milk, and chia seeds and honey (optional ) to jar
– Add fruit and stir gently until combined.
– Place in fridge overnight and up to 2 days; maybe longer depending on the type and ripeness of the fruit

Quick, easy and Healthy Coffee Banana Ice Cream 🙂
Who wouldn’t want to enjoy Fresh Ice Cream this hot summer days? This is a quick and easy treat anyone can do at home!
Sweet treats can be healthier with less fat and sugar! Here is my recipe:
Makes 4-5 Servings
5 mins preparation time (excluding freezing of Bananas)
Ingredients:
10 Frozen Ripe Bananas (Lakatan, Freeze overnight)
1 cup NESTLE NON FAT MILK
1-1/2 tsp Nescafe (or to taste)
2 tbsp hot water
2 tbsp Honey (optional)
Procedure:
Mix Dissolve Nescafe in hot water, set aside.
Blend Frozen Bananas and Nestle Non Fat Milk. Use a spatula and occasionally stir and push down bananas.
Blend until bananas are smooth
Add dissolved Nescafe and honey (Optional) and blend for few seconds.
Do not over blend a bananas will be too soft.
Put in a bowl.
Optional: Top with cereals (Nestle Fitnesse) or nuts.

Power Breakfast Smoothie
I concocted this when I was pregnant because I needed a healthier breakfast without rice.
And I needed to drink maternity milk without me getting cloyed with it.
I originally used maternity milk with my smoothie and I can easily replace it with Nestle Non-Fat milk. 🙂
Recipe:
1 pc banana
1 cup Nestle cornflakes
1 125g Nestle Fruit Selection Yogurt Mango Flavor (or any flavor)
1/2 cup Nestle Non-fat Milk
1/2 cup almonds ( or any kind of nuts)
2 tsp sugar
2 cups shaved ice
1/ cup water
Procedure:
Just put everything in the blender until you reach desired smoothness!

4 tablespoons All purpose flour
4 tablespoons white sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons cocoa powder

Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with Strawberry Jam
Prep Time: 4 to 8 hours
Cook Time: Under 15 min
Serves: 5-8 people
Ingredients
1 cup Nestle Non-Fat Milk,
2 cups Nestle Cream,
3/4 cup white Sugar (or half cup of honey)
Pinch of Salt
1 tbsp pure Vanilla Extract
Procedure
1. Combine the milk, sugar and salt in a bowl and whisk until combined and sugar dissolved. If you’re going to use honey, add it after whisking.
2. Stir in the heavy cream.
3. Add the vanilla extract.
4. Whisk until all ingredients are combined and has smooth texture.
5. Pour the ice cream mixture in a freezer proof container and place it in the freezer. After 45 minutes, remove the container from the freezer. If the mixture is already frozen around the edges, stir it with a spatula
until it breaks up any frozen sections. Place it back in the freezer. Do this another 3-4 times every 30 minutes (so total time 2-3 hours). Then freeze until ready to serve.
6. Add Strawberry Jam for added flavor and texture. 🙂
