We woke up early on a Saturday to attend Gabbie’s recollection, a requirement for her First Holy Communion. I can’t believe that’ll be in two months. Anyhow, I picked up a thing or two during the 2 hour talk. While religion isn’t a popular topic discussed by many, it’s interesting how it can gather people from different walks of life.
I like listening to speakers who share their own personal stories and relate them to stories in the Bible. One key takeaway for me was the line the speaker said during the latter part of his talk:
BRING YOURSELF CLOSER TO HEAVEN.
Though I was ready to dose off (I slept at almost 2 in the morning & couldn’t sleep right away because we finished The Haunting of Hill House) this line got me listening all ears. With all the distractions we all face day to day both online and offline, how can we bring ourselves closer to heaven?
This was a question that ran through my head the entire morning. Busyness and daily life can really sometimes derail us from our spiritual relationship with God. So asking this question can help you refocus on the things that will help you be closer to heaven. Habits, the speaker said is one of the most powerful thing we can do. Form it on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Making an effort to do things to get to know Him & to have a spiritual relationship is the key. Turning them into habits is something that can surely help you get closer to heaven.
For my family, it’s going to church every Sunday, praying in the morning and night and doing act of kindness. These are just some of things that we do to keep a good relationship with God.
After recollection we head over to Lego Sale located at Tiendesitas. My kids really, really love Lego & have a bunch of sets they collect so they were super happy when they found out we’re going to get them sets.
The sale is currently happening now until November 4, 2018 only. They have Ninjago, Friends, Lego Junior, Disney, Star Wars, D.C, Marvel, LEGO Creator and other sets!
These two cannot be bothered. Hahaha. Sobrang busy going around and deciding what to get because we have a budget.
Love-hate relationship these two. I just wish they stay close until they become adults. ?
Capping off the day with some Japanese food.
Chirashi bowl is always my favorite thing to order.
Early morning activity: building one of the LEGO sets we got Juro.
Planned on going to Laguna to see the heart relic of St. Padre Pio but ended up being literally on the road for 4 hours! Huhuhuhu.
We were stuck at 2kms away from Padre Pio shrine and traffic was bad. It wasn’t moving at all. We just decided to turn around & head back to the city.
Off we went to Powerplant. My husband Jago along with his sister & their parents went to hear mass at the chapel along with Juro, while Gabbie & I went to check out Lacoste’s in store offering since we’re already done with mass the day before.
90s kids, remember the classic bucket & backpack bags from Lacoste? Yes! They’re back!
French artists Pascal Anger working on my Lacoste pieces. Love how he’s very meticulous!
My Gabbie girl chose what to put on her Lacoste mini envelop.
Aaaand we’re done! Love how the monogram instantly gave a personal touch on the leather good.

It’s the weekend again! Be sure to enjoy to recharge so you’ll enjoy the coming week with so much energy & positivity.
