Just when I thought the previous weekend’s recap tops the rest when it comes to being full and busy, last week was equally the same.
I usually just pick a day in the week to work – attend press events, set up meetings, and the like– because this hands on momma has devoted her time to do everything (since we’ve stopped looking for a helper/yaya early of this year) at home and take care of the kids. While Mr. JG helps the moment he gets home from work, majority of the things needed to keep everything in order depends on me. Hahahuhu. So I really take at least a day off a week to see people all while catching up with work (I guess I’m lucky I’m hitting two birds with one stone?).
Anyhow, last Thursday I celebrated with Marie France on the 33rd anniversary. Caught up with Marie France & Facial Care’s PR goddess (naks) NJ Torres. Here I was with her and one of my fave mommas Bianca Santiago-Reinoso. An hour or two isn’t enough talaga! We were also with Shari Poquiz of The Misty Mom but I wasn’t able to get a photo with her, puro Boomerang lang! Hahaha! I know I still owe you guys a blog post about my one and only Marie France treatment, I promise I’ll skip working out and cleaning the house one morning so I can sit down and write! Haha!
Shared on my Instagram what went down that day. It was semi-stressful and tiring but I didn’t let the events that lead to that night ruined the rest of the day because I celebrated my 10th year wedding anniversary with this guy whom I’ve know since I was 19! Since we already had our 10th year anniversary trip (in Korea) we just celebrated it with a simple dinner.
What made it different this year than the previous years? I think we’re putting more effort in our relationship. The recent events that has lead me to realize how lucky I am to be spending the rest of my life with this guy made more focused on us. Honestly, being married for 10 years doesn’t seem like it maybe because we’re focused on raising our kids then. Which is why we’re now giving time to rediscover each other now that the kids are a little bit bigger na. I guess every marriage goes through that stage, you just have to find opportunities to reconnect. Ironic though that this is a milestone yet I don’t have a separate post about the 10 learnings I’ve picked up being married for 10 years? Hmmm. Should I even make one?
Come Friday I went early to Uniqlo C3 Annex to get my hands on the hottest collaboration to date of Uniqlo– #UniqloAlexanderWang a collection of heattech essentials that you can wear alone or layered with your fave Uniqlo pieces. Here’s how I styled my Uniqlo Alexander Wang bra top & leggings– with a khaki coat perfect for the cold/rainy situation. The collection is out in all Uniqlo stores!
Brought the kids at The Podium to see their first Christmas tree lighting event of the year. The mall’s theme is Alice In Wonderland and we sure had fun watching the program & seeing the giant tree lit up! Follow The Podium on Facebook to check their holiday deals & updates.
Then we went back to BGC that night to check out #ChupaChupsSuperMegaLaunch
The famous lolly brand brings its Super Mega Lolly (the lolly my daughter Gabbie & I are holding) in the Philippines! The first country in South East Asia to carry this product. Best part? It’s available online as well though Shopee for an introductory price of Php 550. Perfect giveaway this Christmas to friends who have sweet tooth.
And come Saturday, we woke up early for my kids’ training. Gabbie is back doing gymnastics while Juro is training to be a ninja at Ninja Academy. Here they are post training and post lunch at Mc Donalds. Yep, we all had Shake Shake fries too! Heehee.
That night we went to SM City Sucat to see their Christmas tree lighting. Their theme is Christmas in the galaxy– a robocarnival village surrounds the atrium. The Garcia family also joined in on the celebration. Follow SM City Sucat on Facebook for holiday deals & updates.
Our first family photo with Santa!
After our Sunday mass, we head out to stuff ourselves with unlimited grilled meat! It’s not even a month since I was in Korea yet here I am devouring this cheesy samgyupsal with the family! Hashtag this is why I workout heehee.
After lunch, Mr. JG & I watched Bohemian Rhapsody while the kids took a nap at my in laws. It’s one great movie and we truly enjoyed it! The songs of Queens got me very nostalgic (though I wasn’t even born when they performed at Live Aids back in 1985! Heehee). Still I’m hung over from the movie that I’m still listening to the OST!
November talaga is the start of the busy weekends. I already miss just staying home and doing nothing but I know I also look forward to holiday gatherings with family& friends. So that’s that! Only 43 days to go before Christmas! Make this week count everyone ☺️
