Our weekend sorta started last Thursday when my kids had no school followed by Friday which was also declared a holiday by our Mayor. So to say it’s a long weekend was understated heehee.
Anyhow the weekend started with a get-together dinner hosted by Nuffnang. They broke the news that they will stop operations this September. I was like most us Nuffies were shocked with the news. They were the ones who launched most of us as bloggers. I’ll forever be grateful to them for paving way for me to share my stories online.
With Jojo the Love Survivor and Ramon Bautista. I think they were surprised to see me out on a weekday. Hahaha!
The Nuffies. I’m gonna miss our get togethers, especially our Christmas parties na laging may theme. It was a pleasure to be part of Nuffnang Philippines. Thank you for everything you guys!
Friday was just like any other Friday except that I turned a year older and my kids had no school which means my schedule wad derailed! Hahhahaa. I plan to really take it easy and celebrate the best way I know–workout first thing in the morning, clean and then watch my favorite series while munching on all the not-so-healthy food I want until I fall asleep and wake up in time to pick up my kids. Sounds like a dream no?
Well I did just that but got called in between as my kids needed something from me. Still it was a good day. Thank you Promil and Facial Care for sending these treats. Thank you also to those who took time to greet me that day I feel very blessed (walang hashtag needed heehee).
I indulge on my birthday, all the time! So here’s some Magnolia Bakery NY cupcakes I devoured in minutes while watching HIMYM. After downing my second cup of coffee, I was able to nap. Aaaah this is how I like my birthday spent!
But the past few years I realised I should see my friends more often. If not regularly at least on my special day. And so I traded my being a home buddy once every year so I can celebrate my birthday on a night out. I figured if I’m older (like in my 40s or 50s) I won’t be celebrating this way because I’d probably have no energy left and by then it wouldn’t be by choice. Hahahaha!
Grateful to have met these people in this lifetime! I don’t have photos of everybody but if you watched my stories you probably know who they are! Thank you for coming everyone! ❤️
Best friends since grade school. My husband isn’t a fan of going out probably because he’s done it too many times na when he was younger. But for me he makes an exception especially if it’s my birthday! Heehee. Thank you for the treat!
Blurred photos because we only used our phones. The thing I like about gathering the people closest to me is that we all really have good time no matter what we do, even if it’s just catching over salad or coffee. So much so that we often forget to check our social media. Yes!
Thanks Ahia Lu for the treat!
My birthday drink! Spot my ever supportive husband behind. He’s not really into taking photos ??
After we enjoyed drinking, eating and playing some video games, the Tita in me wasn’t tired yet so some of my friends & I headed to the club and danced the night away.
Shari (left) is one of the bloggers I met a few years ago that I connected not only online but offline as well. Glad to be celebrating my birthday this year with her together with my best friend Nins.
Aaaand because it was a once in a blue moon thing, we ended up going home at almost 4 in the morning. Hahahaha. Achievement unlocked. ?
The next day we woke up at almost lunch time. Thankfully there’s no hangover so off we went on a brunch date.
I have a thing for grilled cheese & tomato soup.
Also a good champorado! This definitely was a good recovery food.
Finally was able to watch Crazy Rich Asians! I don’t know if I feel for Rachel more or for Eleanor! Either way I cried and laughed a lot while watching it. Can’t wait for the sequel!
Woke up early on a Sunday to attend this little guy’s fellowship. We had fun playing games and bonding with his classmates and their parents.
I got a new Epic React! What a lovely birthday gift. Thanks Jago ❤️
We had lunch with the kids together with their cousins. We went around the mall and played arcade games until we were all pooped out!
Again, spending time with family is often so spontaneous and personal that these moments don’t make it on social media. I gotta say our extra long weekend was packed but I wouldn’t have it any other way because I spent it with the good people.
Sharing our other weekend’s recap (Juro’s birthday celebration on another post.
