Third week into the year and we’re slowly getting back into our groove. The days are as usual, filled with chores waiting to be taken care of, errands that need to be accomplished and school drop offs and pick ups. Nonetheless, it feels good to get right on it.
While I’m happy we’re back to our daily grind, I’m equally happy that this year, I’m giving equal importance to rest as is to hustle. Taking time to do what I want & not stressing over what I need to do is by far my weekly luxury.
This year I’m really focusing on having great skin. Since PCOS gave me cystic acne, my skin has had its fair share of breakouts. Scheduling regular facials at Facial Care to make sure my skin is at its best is one of my priorities this 2019.
And whaddayaaaknoooow my skin is really getting better! Using products that are mild for my skin as well as eating clean (I’m on my 20th day of my 30 Day No Sweets Challenge!) has really helped my skin. These plus of course getting enough sleep and managing stress are factors talaga.
Forgot to mention that last week, I did a 4 day detox. I promise to share my experience on a separate post so please expect it within the week as well. Anyhow, on my third day of detox I attended my roomie’s Nikki Torres’ Easy Vinyasa class. I felt so scared that I don’t have enough energy to finish the class but was surprised at myself for powering through. Heehee.
One of my fitspirations and girl crush, Nikki has been a big part of my detoxing because she guided me all throughout. Another thing I’m doing more this year–spend time with people that inspire me to be better.
Attended my first press event of the year. How fitting that the event is the launch of Nutrifam. Nutrifam offers products that are imported directly from safe, credible, and legitimate sources at resonable prices. Their line includes Organic Chia Seeds (Php 460/500g), Organic White Quinoa (Php 385/500g), Organic Golden Flax Seeds (Php 385/500g), Organic Coconut Sugar (Php250/500g). All their products are certified USDA Organic and they’re currently available at Robinsosn Supermarkets, Rustans Supermarkets, and all Landmarket Supermarkets. It’s also available online through Lazada & BeautyMNL.
Come Friday night, I spent it learning something new– Flow Steel Mace by Nat Cruz. Jeff Of Pinoy Fitness & eager beaver students!
Broke a sweat! It was a fun & challenging workout that made me want my own steel mace.
Spent our Saturday morning at my daughter’s school fair. Took a quick selfie while we were waiting in line.
Capped off our Saturday watching Once Upon A Deadpool. And whenever we’re at Powerplant, I make sure I get my avocado & orange fix. So here I was captured by my daughter Gabbie on our way to the parking. Heehee.
On Sunday, Juro’s upper front tooth finally fell off! He’s been waiting for this for quite some time now and he’s just happy it’s finally off!
We did our usual Sunday routine of hearing mass & having lunch out. While we were at the mall waiting for his dad to get a haircut, Juro & I decided to go around the bookstore. Here he was checking out a book.
That’s pretty much it!
